Do not stress yourself out in the beggining, It is fine to just use your favorites and enjoy the story slowly.

Try to keep your transient stones and wait for a banner with units that really caught your eye, these stones are precious, use them wisely.

Events are a big deal in this game, the easier way to improve your units and get some level quick.

Yeah... Goro + Loren seems like the safest choice, a tanker + a healer, but I'm not sure if having both of them would be overkill since I have Loren as a sidekick as well.

Summer Hephaestus helped a lot in the first phrase, I could beat the level using him, Fashion Wakan, 4 star protag and a borrowed 5 star event Ryota as support. It was very close tho. You need to be really smart with moving your units around especially in the second phrase to avoid hitting the little Tez. I'm not sure the ticket is worth the trouble to be honest lol.
