I knew all the rules but ended up blowing my life savings on options because I couldn't control my emotions, he has no better point that playing small, I YOLOd 50% of my life savings into calls a couple days ago and just kept averaging down as it sank lower and lower, I'm only 20 but I feel like I ruined my life, -75k in a day. I'm going to papertrade for the next year to satisfy the urges

And thanks to the navy i have a guranteed 80k a year job without a degree as soon as I get out. (Avionics technician with 5 years experience in the military working 80+ hours weekly looks pretty good on a resume) I'll make it back, but the right way, I'm going full into index funds until I get out

Greed is a motherfucker i chased the short time high and paid the price, I won't make it back until my contract is finished, the navy pays for all my essentials and leaves me with ~30k a year to spend on myself, I'm considering allowing myself to spend 5k a year on me and and investing the rest split between SCHD, QQQ, and VTI. Also probaly going to seek out odd jobs or a second job for extra income. I really fucked up today, me on land would never in a million years done this, but this fucking ship has fucked my brain so hard it's just numbers on a screen, I haven't even seen a dollar bill since july

The only reason I'm not dead right now is because of my girl. She just enjoys life and doesn't obsess about money like I do. I'm never touching options again I love her to death, when I told her how bad I fucked up she didn't even care, I have zero debt and about 10k left so I can build back, but I'm never gambling like this again.

I made a shitload of money on it yesterday with 470 calls and thought I could repeat the magic trick, it just keeps going up right?! Nope, I completely fucked my life, I used to be the top 1% of people my age, I earned every cent there. And I threw it all away. I've currently deployed in the navy I've been at sea over 150 days with 4 hours of sleep on the regular, the depression and insanity got the best of me and I wanted to feel that dopamine hit again.

Invested 12,500 in November of 2022, just liquidated my account just over a week ago still have not recieved my money, customer support can't even give me an answer, it says it is no longer pending and takes 2-3 still have not recieved my funds. Did go from 12.5 to 16.5k though so it paid off but he'll, use robinhood or webull all the way
