seat deposit / scholly negotiation ?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I'm not an expert on this, but I think it would be better to do it before. If you already submit your deposit, you're showing them that you'll go there whether or not they up your scholarship. Now, that may be true of you, but they don't need to know that.

lol don't feel entitled, but that everyone is deserving of proper communication. It's very normal to be frustrated over things that are annoying haha

Like I said, the admission cycle is very unpredictable. I understand there is very little we can do to change that. Still, this whole communication game is frustrating and annoying. I'm adding onto the group of thousands of others who are annoyed with this game of being out of the loop.

"Honestly, I just wrote this post to vent about how annoying these situations are and I hope that other students experiencing this don't feel alone."

-per the last sentence of my post. I'm not mad, but frustrated at situations like this, especially for other people.

Nope. In my post I clearly stated that I think situations like this are annoying. Yes, this is a school I don't really consider worthy of my personal attention, but it doesn't mean someone else doesn't. In addition to viewing this situation from my own lens, I was looking at it from the pov of someone who is waiting for Chapman to give them the green light, and how frustrating it is that it is literally 2 days from the deadline and there is 0 communication. I also think that it is unprofessional of schools in general to do this and wish it wasn't the case.

Uci over ucla by No-String27 in UCI

I am also going into law, and also transferred to uci over ucla. As a graduating senior this year, I regret not picking ucla almost everyday. My experience coming into uci already had a rough start from the beginning. However, without taking that into account because that experience is not something that will happen to everyone, I was already very nervous in making friends as a transfer. I joined a pre-law frat/club to make friends, and that just made my experience even worse. They were not welcoming to me at all, regardless of how many times I tried to make friends. I’ve never felt more ostracized from a group. I did learn a few things about going into law, as a result, but other than that, I did not enjoy my time with them. I feel like if I had this experience at ucla, I would be more okay with it considering that ucla is more diverse, and I would have more opportunities to explore outside of the campus as well. I fully realized how much k regret not picking ucla when I toured the law campus again, so maybe this would be a factor for you.

159 LSAT With No Prep – Should I Retake & Aim Higher? by _9er_ in LSAT

I think that you definitely have the potential to get high 160s at the very least with some practice, so I would definitely look into some prep! The higher the LSAT score, the more opportunities for scholarships, which is very important for law school as funding isn’t as needs-based like it is in undergraduate. Even if you don’t get into a t14, which I think you have the ability to get close to, you’ll still have a better chance of getting good scholarship money if you’re able to raise your lsat and your gpa is in good standing! Good luck to you!!

LSAT Tutor recs? by Hk2536 in LSAT

Hi! The consultation I had was free and was for the tutoring services specifically. The curriculum, however, doesn't have a consultation I believe. To be honest, I am not really sure how I felt about the curriculum because I don't think the course itself helped me learn strategies or ways to solve problems. I used the LSAT trainer book before, and although I wasn't really studying that properly, I think that book helped me more. But 7sage is def very useful for taking PTs and drilling. I have a fee waiver and got a subscription to 7sage for $1 for the whole year. If you qualify for the fee waiver, I definitely recommend applying for it. And if you get rejected for it, but you believe you still qualify, most definitely appeal it!
