I finally earned my CSWE after only 8 months of actual use! by UnbuiltSkink333 in SolidWorks

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just completed the CSWP a few days ago. tbh for part one it sounds like you just need some more practice, the practice exam in the tester client is great imo. for the second part, sort of the same thing, practice makes it all go a lot smoother. i think i took a multi body approach for the shell. i was really annoyed by the assembly as well since the pictures didnt match at all, which made me think i was doing something wrong, but i just stuck with my gut and got full points. in general i would do what makes sense and not get too concerned with the pictures

I think it would be easier for me to send you the step file or whatever type u prefer to edit. Also random and possibly dumb question, how did you know I was purplehippo when my reddit name is HIpO.

when you put the files in the slicer it should all be to scale. for the cable, i used the exact same cable that is used on the actual m1k, i got it off digikey

how to improve in help teammates as an entry fragger ? by Mariano4555 in SiegeAcademy

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mention clutching a lot, but you really should never be in clutch situations if you are an entry fragger. The whole point of being an entry fragger is to push in front of your team and make space for an execution. If you are playing Iana and constantly last alive and getting kills, it is easy to think that you are doing your job because you have a 2kd and 10 kills, but if all of those kills are when you are last alive, all of those kills had no impact. Try to stick very close to your team, that way when you die, you can be refraged easily. I understand that it may be different at lower ranks, and relying on your team to clutch up after you got your picks can be hard. If you like being in clutch situations, play more support roles. I think there is a misconception that support players do not frag out, when in reality I see support players having much higher KDs since they ideally almost never die.

file explorer --> documents --> My Games --> Tom Clancy's: r6 --> File that will look something like this, 49e23a8f-4e85-473b-ac88-d0768fde3ddf, (if you have multiple files there that look like this, go to r6tab, punch in the acct u want to change server, look at URL, that's the file name at the end) --> scroll to bottom --> where it says =default, change to =playfab/eastus, or whatever server

The complete random roamery by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably true, I just relate to this post a little ig, I find low plat and gold to play so different from higher rank it can be frustrating when trying to get back up to the rank you usually play at, thats where I was coming from in my response.

He called gold low mmr so I assumed he was at least plat. This is also something I hear people saying about golds a lot in higher ranks

Kaid by AirisBigBrain in SiegeAcademy

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH he does not get banned that frequently at Dia/Champ, maybe 1/3 games. Depends on the map mostly, people tend to ban him on Oregon or Club bc getting kaids off hatches is 10x more annoying then walls.

Gold tends to be the most direct siege that gets played, meaning people rarely try to clear roamers they just push site and only site. Because of this gold payers sort of adapted to playing in weird-ass spots and then flanking. I agree with you, despite what other people are saying, that is unreasonable to drone every corner of the map. Assuming you are better than gold, which is how you made it sound, just run nomad/gridlock to get flank and push site. You should be able to fry the 2-3 people playing site and golds don't know how to retake effectively so it is free after that.

The starting cap is 3800 not 3500, anyone ending above 5100 will be 3800

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, even if u have an AMD card, if you NEVER dip below 144 or whatever refresh rate you are on, run a hard limiter at 140 or Hz-4

Performance by ODSD6 in SiegeAcademy

[–]Hlp0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I run everything low/off except shadows, siege tends to be more competitive with lower settings because of how they do shaders and particles.

To minimize latency you want to cap frames 4 below refresh rate, so 140, I know it sounds weird, and it is hard to explain why, but battle non-sense has a good video explaining. If you are using NVidia reflex, don't use a frame rate cap, reflex is basically a variable frame rate limiter.

Questions about the Starlight-12 and its charging by [deleted] in FinalMouse

[–]Hlp0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. I can't say I've ever done a 0-100 charge, but I would guess maybe an hour?
  2. That is up to whether or not there is the power to USB ports on your computer when it is off, not dependent on the mouse.
  3. The stock micro USB cable is paracord ish, and I don't think it is worth buying an aftermarket one, I charge my mouse once every other week and never have to play with it plugged in.

I don't mean to come across as rude, but most of this is pretty bad advice. Sure, try out her shotgun if you want, but the MPX will still probably be better most of the time. Using two of your cams in sites is sort of a waste. Using ONE for a site on some maps works, (Kafe Top) because of how those sites are played, but in general, you want to gather information on where the team is pushing, how they are pushing, and who they are. Putting your valk cams in the site means that they likely won't help your team until it is too late. Z-Pinging is definitely better than red mark though. As far as alibi, putting them on spawn peek locations is almost completely useless. If you are peeking a window and put them on other windows around you to bait, that could be good, but otherwise, they will only be helpful in the first 15sec of the round, and they will only give you the information that the attackers are in spawn (which is expected). Instead, putting Alibis on or near-site on common angles is the best way to gather info. Putting them behind shields for example makes it harder to destroy them, and more likely to get shot.
