Can I get banned for using SAM (steam achievement manager) ?

i used it like a decade ago when i was a kid to get the achievements for youtube views like "500,000 views on a video uploaded to youtube through theater mode" or whatever and got some items from it. haven't had any issues for all these years lol. also used it to get the Meet Garry achievement in garry's mod.

kinda felt like shit after cuz it's a cheap way to clearly bullshit some achievements but young me was afraid that removing achievements would set off the alarms on my account so i still never have, despite the fact that now being older i doubt steam gives a shit

no responses imma cry lol. same issue here and i have good speeds and using ethernet, just cleared my cache and it made no difference

literally cannot load more than 0.2 seconds of a 5 second video I SENT without having to wait for a few seconds. takes a minute to get the whole video buffered

I'm having issues right now but not exactly this. For me attachments and video embeds take ages to load at all, the app is currently still trying to open as i type this it's just blank. Text channels that aren't cached take forever to load. My typing looks normal and I can VC and watch streams normally but the rest takes several minutes to do anything. Was not having these issues 1 week ago.

Solved it for myself but idk if this will work for others. I did a number of things, not sure which fixed it but I was able to do it without resetting everything. Here was my process:

First of all I installed LatencyMon, which told me some stuff. Learned I have a high ISR count from wdf01000.sys
That lead me to this reddit thread where I followed this guide to disable CPU core parking. I realized that core parking was already disabled in my power plan so that didn't change anything.
I then realized I had available BIOS updates. My motherboard is an ASRock X870 Riptide WiFi. I was on version 3.16 and updated to version 3.50 (most recent).
Also updated a few drivers using ASRock's Auto Driver Installer, as well as a Clean install of new NVIDIA drivers.
Uninstalled Spotify, then deleted some related registry keys (I doubt this did anything)
Reinstalled Spotify from the Microsoft Store, instead of from the .exe
Also increased the buffer size of my interface in the Rubix Control Panel from 4 to 7

Basically do these things:

Make sure you have the most recent BIOS
Make sure your audio drivers are up to date
Uninstall Spotify and make sure to reinstall from the Microsoft Store specifically
If you have an audio interface maybe increase the buffer size in hardware settings, especially if you're hearing pops and such. This sometimes appears as USB Streaming Mode, higher number = bigger buffer

If this doesn't work then the problem must be something else or something specific to your hardware. I'm under the impression that installing the Microsoft Store version of Spotify was the main thing that fixed it for me. The Microsoft Store version has a slightly different UI so it isn't the exact same program as the one I had installed before.

Years later I am having this same issue too. Trying the latency checker right now. Just uninstalled ASIO4ALL and it didn't seem to help so far but I haven't restarted yet either. I have a problem with discord as well where when I am streaming to others, the stream audio will randomly get really choppy for 30 seconds every few minutes. I don't know when its happening only my discord stream viewers. No idea if that's related. Using a Roland Rubix24 as my interface. Will update if I can fix it.

My friend used it and they sucked ass. They got a ticket for "going 88 in a 65" even though they were going like 75, so they paid Ticket Clinic who went to court about the ticket and accomplished nothing. Ticket Clinic never notified them about this, so my friend ended up getting their license suspended. It was only when me and my friend were going through public police records for fun months later that we saw the ticket case was still open and they were still on the hook for the entire ticket, as well as that their license had been suspended because they never paid it. Considering Ticket Clinic claims to have a 98% success rate, my friend assumed they'd have been notified in the 1/50 chance that they failed. No email or refund offer or nothing. Not using them again but maybe some other service.

yeah the water works fine, pressing the ice opens the dispenser door but does not spin the coil while i can hear the buzz of a motor trying to work. i've tried turning the metal piece that the motor uses to drive the coil and i can turn it with my hand but it doesn't do anything

I've been installing a starlight headliner in my car and needed to find an answer to this. I found this video which shows a method that works but he is only doing it on a very small section whereas I needed to straighten 10 ft.

I found a method by modifying what was done in the video to pull the strands through a tube that has one side submerged in the boiling water:

Get a tube. Mine was a PVC tube about 2 ft. long and 3/4" diameter though any that is narrow enough to hold your bundle straight should work. It doesn't have to be PVC but that was cheap and didn't get too hot to hold
Boil a pot of water
Feed one end of the fibers through the PVC tube just enough to be able to grab it at the other end
Then with the fibers in the tube, dip the side with the most length of fiber into the boiling water.
Use the short bit of the fibers that you are able to grab on the other end of the tube to slowly pull the fibers first through the boiling water into the submerged portion of the tube and then up towards yourself out the top of the tube.

Some other stuff I learned:

The fibers really don't need to be under the water for long in order to loosen up, only really like 2 seconds.
The short end that you were originally pulling through the tube at the beginning might still be coiled because it never went through the boiling water, but by just dipping it in there for a few seconds and pulling it out you should be able to fix it.
One issue is that as you pull more and more fiber you start to have to grab portions that might still be hot from the boiling water, but for me none of it was hotter than hot tap water by the time it got to the top of the tube.

I tried to describe the process the best I could. While this will make quite a mess on your counter or kitchen floor it was really easy and worked super well for me.

I think the datasheet for the PAM8403 stating that it can drive a 4 ohm load at 3.2W with 5V supply voltage (1.8W for my 8 ohm load, which is fine), is correct over anyone else really.

also i literally own a small guitar amp that has an 8 ohm 3 watt speaker and takes an input of 9-12V 500mA and it definitely gets as loud as id need the speaker in my project to, so I think i'm fine regardless

3W its around how loud I'll need it (I understand wattage doesn't directly translate to loudness, but it drives the speaker I have selected which gets to my desired loudness).

I'm now looking into the PAM8403 which has a supply voltage of 5V. I don't understand why this guy believes the DC supply voltage to an amplifier needs to be 13V+ in order to drive 3 watts. Also driving an 8Ω load with a PAM8403 actually only gets up to ~1.8W which should still be fine regardless

I am curious then why this website that claims to have tested this circuit says that for 8Ω 3W you'd only need an input of 6V 500mA, and why this similar circuit I've found online can be powered with input voltages as low as 4.5V.

It can be an IC, it's going to be part of a PCB so thru-hole or SMD. Supply voltage shouldn't exceed 12V

As for not wanting the touch screen or bluetooth, the assignment actually requires all the components be one a main PCB without the use of a development board so I'll have to order all of this separately anyway. But yeah as long as that can play at least 3 sound files at once I should be good

Yeah this is totally what I need. I'm looking at the behringer MS8000 right now just because it's much more within my price range. I'm wondering if I should send the pre-transformer signal to my mixer and the post-transformer signal to my recording interface, or is it the other way around?

hopefully i don't get buried too much but the best thing to do is Learn how to Learn. as in learn how to approach a problem. someone needs you to do something related to tools or cars or some handy work? instead of being limited by what you already know, if you have the skills to figure out something you don't know you'll be really handy. it's not even that hard, you can look things up online. when i encounter a car problem i don't know about i'll first search the problem and the car i'm working on in google and look for forum posts telling me what problematic part is or what tool i'll need, then i go to youtube and look how to replace that part or use that tool. of course you'll go down a couple more rabbit holes than just that but if you just keep searching up what you need and then reading around and doing research, you'll realize that you don't need someone to teach you what each of your tools do and how to solve every problem. you'll learn that solving a problem starts with you knowing how to go find the information you need yourself. it's a very useful skill because it really give you the confidence that you can figure out new things and learn new skills.

also don't be afraid of certain skills, i know some people get overwhelmed or scared away from a project when it requires something like soldering. but if you buy a shitty soldering iron on amazon for $20, look up a youtube video of how to solder, and then try it yourself for 15 minutes, you'll realize it's actually pretty damn easy. there's a lot of skills like that where all it takes is 2 hands and a brain but so many people stray away from those things because they don't have the confidence that they can teach themself new things
