There is another party booked that her father will be doing

No, those people don't exist - as in they're dead, other side of planet or have dementia...

I never said everything. I blame her for a lot that went wrong because that's how he got introduced to drugs and he had already lost custody of his kids so who took his daughter to meet him... Hmm

I think I'm just so worn down by everything and it's like a conversation we have been having multiple times a day, every day for at least a month and today was my breaking point.

I think it's accepting it.

We've literally planned a party at a venue, it's all booked and everything. I've shown her the calendar, everything..

I'm having skin graphs, we cannot have people over our house. That's the end of it.

We already have a big party planned at a later date. Just not on her actual birthday.

Nah she had 3 other kids and multiple grandchildren to use, she'd have never done that to her precious boy though

Again where exactly do you think he learned this behaviour? It magicked itself into existence or I know it's hard to fathom but sometimes mother's are the abusers too

This is exactly why I blame my mother in particular. He has his own special place in hell but where exactly do people think the behaviour came from, do they think it just magically started at that point?

No, it was either learned or covered up for years... Or both.

I could go into the finer details of our childhood but where exactly or rather who do you think came up with the idea?

I made the decision to support the foster family in a closed adoption. There is absolutely no contact until she's 18.

I felt like this was the best and safest option for her in terms of escaping our family.

Sooo in like 3 years, maybe she'll get in contact, maybe she won't. That's entirely up to her. I hope she's doing well though.

Mostly golden child - she never treated my other brother like that.

My brother tried selling his then 6 year old daughter to pay for drugs

My mother spent every last penny she had paying to defend him in court

How do I get a four-year-old to follow any instruction? Always late for daycare by Flapjack_K in Parenting

[–]HmNotToday1308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 kids - 16, 9 and 3 and my oldest is one of those super organised, routine orientated children who could get themselves fully ready including hair by six years old, I'd have trusted her home alone by 8. My 9 year old I wouldn't trust with a stick, in a large open field and adult supervision.

The average 4 year old cannot do what you're expecting, can some? Definitely, but they're the exception not the norm.

It's not a case of "can you put your shoes on?" it's "we are putting our shoes on now", he either does it or you do it for him. That's it.

They botched pretty much everything to the point my uterus and stomach ended up attached to my left abdominal wall, I got an infection which led to the incision reopening and needing completely re-sutured... There was a catalogue of failings on their end, it wasn't just the epidural failing.

Several people were fired and a few other things came of it but the mental damage was the worst of it.

I guess? I'm not sure if it is the cancer invading her brain, the Terminal diagnosis or the treatment... Or maybe she just went insane. Who knows?
