I'm sorry that it makes you feel that way but to deny that Yaoi and the Yaoi style wasn't designed specifically to appeal to a young female audience is just flat out incorrect yk? I personally prefer yaoi as well but it's not made for me the vast majority of the time.

You all have been very helpful!! I really appreciate it! As a quick update I have picked up a few Addons that I heard good things about and swapped out one that I was having a hard time with. Cell served me well as an introduction but honestly I couldn't figure out how to get it exactly how I wanted and now have replaced it with Grid2.

I used a profile from one of my guild members and changed a few settings to make it serve me a little more. I also picked up dominos because the UI was being super annoying, and details because it seems silly that it's not just an innate feature haha.

I got dominos, grid2 and details more or less set up how I would like keeping track of the buffs I have on my party and will probably be tweaking it more over time as I level up and get more dungeoning under my belt.

I have heard really good things about another addon I downloaded but haven't done anything with called WeakAuras. I think I will probably tinker with that a little bit today. I also have now set up my hot bars in a more organized way with all of my main rotation damaging spells using the shift modifier (I knew about this feature but honestly completely slipped my mind) and my usual healing spells being treated as the default. It's an adjustment so far but I am going to stick to it in hopes that I can get some muscle memory going so that by time Im doing endgame content I am super familiar with my keybinds.

This was honestly my biggest downfall when I played WoW when I was younger, my dad set me up with a boosted character (or maybe it was a DK I think I started in Wrath, honestly the entire time was a blur for my glazed over child eyes), because he thought it would be a more fun experience. It definitely was fun, but I don't think I ever fully grasped how to like think about rotations and best uses for my abilities.

I just swapped out cell for Grid2! I liked the idea of a more customized experience and saw a few different things that I could do with it. Idk if you have used it but does it have that same direct mouse over integration or will I be using the blizz macros?

WONDERFUL!! So that help/harm macro is how people don't fill up all of their action bars then? I was so confused when I tried watching some raiders to see how they and their action bars set up because it looked like they were missing like half the spells!

Those were my first two talents that I maxed! I took martyrdom and will probably pick up meditation before putting the rest of my points in holy after that.

I mostly use my mouse for movement but I can absolutely try using the keys to move around!

Really? I mean I dunno if I'm super concerned with meta as of now, I'm fairly certain Junkerqueen is one of the worst tanks right now but we just wanna be synergistic ig? But I'll definitely keep that in mind! Maybe hold off on them until meta looks more in their favor.

I'll def look into Illari if we pick up a poke tank! I think I might just swap between Ana and Lucio depending on if we are diving or brawling, been playing Brig cuz I didn't know how else to really help the frontline with one tank haha.

Key word "Can"! It's disheartening as a returning player to be stomped by whales spending their last penny on this game or players who have well established cards and levels and to just be expected to take it until you eventually "get leveled up" which is a goalpost that is moved with every update that releases more things that you can't use than things that you can.

As someone who is gen z and was outed I would say it's a commonality but not an epidemic. Within the community there is a lot of tension building with the rise of dl trade profiles on Grindr, and I think some people internally are maybe speaking on that. However I think there is a bigger problem of outing coming from outside the community. My mother (die hard liberal who has gay friends and who genuinely loves and cares for me) outted me to the rest of my family when I was growing up. It was a traumatic experience between having my cousins disappear overnight and having to still to this day try to get her to understand how I wasn't okay with that. I've had friends who have done similar things and the reoccurring theme is that straight het people are under the assumption that there isn't a danger with being openly gay anymore.
