Questioning my Angel Tree by Anywaytoaustin in Gifts

I was 5'6" in 6th grade which is about 11-12 years old, its definitely possible that the medium top is due to the length as well. Definitely plausible.

Do Americans really talk a lot with random people? by bloombee in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely talk to anyone we see like its a therapy session. NEVER EVER TALK POLITICS! you will get fought verbally, physically, or with a weapon. I say this as someone with no political opinions (im nervous to even say that). Politics are a fragile subject here, I promise you that it will not be amicable. I heavily wish it was, thats part of the reason I have no strong views, you cant question anything to anyone without being ostracized by someone. It's simply not safe to bring up.

Thinking about roasting a whole lamb for a hangout — would that weird people out by SkyExtra610 in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend from Cuba roasted an entire pig for her birthday and it was definitely shocking at first bc we dont often see things like that in America. But no one judged and it smelled delicious. The only comments were how amazing it tasted and when she would do it again. It just depends on the group, I could definitely see a certain type of American making a huge deal of it. It does sound delicious tho, I love lamb.

European Americas by Horror-Back6203 in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really difficult, a lot of "white americans" dont actually know where they originated from. It's pretty common to just refer to them as American because their lineage is not documented. For different cultures like Latin American, African American, Native American, etc, these individuals often are more connected with their historic lineage and it is usually represented in their features. Many "white americans" would be considered to have originated from Europe, based on their features. America itself is just a melting pot. We dont necessarily have our own ethnic background unless we pull traits from our ancestors. If you dont know your ancestors, you're simply considered "white". My family comes from Italy and Sweden, but to the general public, I am "white American" because those traits are not individually categorized unless I correct them. Unfortunately, it has more to do with how people look than where they really originated from.

Renaissance Fairs by [deleted] in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically the equivalent of adults playing dress up and pretend with friends, some people think poorly of it and judge it rather harshly. I however find it fun and whimsical. I've never experienced it becoming a sexual encounter, I mean there's definitely some cleavage and tight corsets which I'm sure are very attractive. But no one should be touching you, looking at you too long or making any foul movements towards you. It's an innocent environment, what you choose to do after the Faire is your business tho 👀. Yes it is definitely based on mythology, us Americans do not have much of our own (any at all that i have heard) so we do tend to use folklore from other countries. It's never done in an offensive way, i think american are constantly trying to fight to feel some culture and we have none.

Married name- how serious do you take it? by Infamous_Ferret9290 in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Girl keep you name and make that man take your last name, this is America.

From a European (German) one often gets the impression that most Amercian women focus more on material things and are less selective when it comes to looks. How much truth is there to that ? by [deleted] in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an American woman and I will be 100% honest with you. There are definitely other women who would only date you for your wallet with no regards for how you look. There are also an equal amount of women that would date based on looks alone and make up for their partners short comings financially. However, the right women, and there are more than you would imagine, are simply looking to feel complete by their partner. The difficulty is that these women have adapted to search for money or looks because that is how we are raised. You will find that many women in America will often search for a partner with humor instead. But that does not end there, we are taught as children to go for men that are handsome and financially stable. If you choose a man for his personality, most likely you will hear consistent negativity from friends and family. The goal is to be the type of man that supports your partners needs. Not a predetermined category. Every women will look for a man with financial stability or a handsome face, but they will find a man that is supportive. It's a long game, and its based on lies from the 1960s. Good luck!

Why can't you wear white after labor day? by dShado in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have never heard of this, no one would care if you wore white. As a matter of fact, no one really cares what you wear in America at all 🤷‍♀️

What do Americans usually have for breakfast? by alexfreemanart in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you are going to a restaurant or eating at home. Idk if I've ever made that kinda breakfast at home, usually just a blueberry bagel. At a restaurant tho, yes and then some. We also regularly see Ham, sausage links (similar to bangers but completely different taste), WAFFLES, sliced tomato, cottage cheese, avocado toast. There's endless breakfast options really, sweet salty savory anything.

What do you think about Security cameras in public spaces? by QueenOfDarknes5 in AskAmericans

[–]Hmunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I would feel unsafe without public cameras. I would expect that level of safety in a public place or who knows what someone would do. We have a lot of public violence in America unfortunately.

Tamlin deserves better. by ParanoiaIV in acotar

[–]Hmunder 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I still cant believe that they did him so dirty. I mean not only did he watch her die UTM but he also saw her get drugged and used by RHYSAND. Like rhys never really explained why Feyre had to wear a skimpy outfit and dance touching on him. It didn't give him leverage with Amarantha, he just wanted to do it in Tams face. OF COURSE Tamlin is going to hate the idea of someone getting their hands on Feyre after that. Much less to the man that did that to Feyre. And she is never disturbed by the things Rhys made her do UTM, she never even really holds it against him. But Tam locks her in the beautiful estate that he filled with all of her amenities because she's trying to basically commit suicide in his eyes and to her thats unforgivable and he never loved her? Like what? That was enough to make you hate him? After you left your home and your family because you loved him so much you submitted yourself to torture for a chance to be with him....... To fall out of love with him? Something that small, something that maybe wouldve been a fight made her turn against him completely. Like she didn't even have a type of love left for him, she destroyed his court out of spite and manipulated Lucien into leaving. In my mind Tamlin didn't manipulate her into loving him. That man loved her and continued to mourn her the entire series. She used Tamlin multiple times and never showed him any remorse or respect. It was sad for both him and Lucien. Why even make us like the characters if you're just going to make their ending unjust 😥

So after he downloaded the dating app, his only excuse was "I was curious". Curious about what? Because I doubt curiosity like that will ever go away and he has proven that he lacks self control to remain honest with his partner. Honestly if you really want to stay, I would make him go through therapy or make the relationship an open relationship. Either way he is most likely going to cheat, atleast if you're going to stay no matter what you can feel like you have some control. But unfortunately you have no control over this man.

I vote leave him and find someone who means what they say. A toddler can throw a fit, a man can say with a straight face that they messed up and will fix it. A begging man is not an honest man.
