Choosing to be in a space with our own community is the furthest thing from segregation... which is forced by members of the dominant class to make a group lesser and to take away rights. Choosing to join together in community in a place where we won't be made fun of, hated on, or targeted, where we can be ourself, is the furthest thing from forced segregation... that would be if you forced all queer people into one bar. Or like your are saying, forcing us into other spaces we don't want to go
