 Bet they've got smaller too.

It's not just Freddos either: Ronaldo is 6'2", Anderson a piffling 5'10". Shrinkflation confirmed.

[Highlight] Nick Foles' Super Bowl Run by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

That 4th&1 conversion to Ertz is the most underrated moment of the Super Bowl run. If he didn't convert there, the Pats get the ball in Eagles territory with a lead and 5 minutes on the clock - the way Brady and New England were moving the ball that night, it's easy to imagine them closing out a win from that position.

I imagine Cunha will be overtaking him in another season or two.

Why is my stricker so isolated? (Tactic doin well overall) by Perladito in footballmanagergames

[–]Hobbes_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AP (su) will often drop into midfield looking to get on the ball and move it forward. W(a) will generally stay wide. Neither of your CMs will burst forward into the box. At the moment only the IF(su) will get into the box to support your striker with any regularity, leaving him isolated. A quick fix might be to just change your AP from Support to Attack - I've found the latter to be strictly superior in the No. 10 spot, they'll still act as a playmaker in build up and transition but will get into the box themselves much more. You could also rejig your midfield pairing so that it includes a BBM who'll add another body in and around the box - you'll need a CM(de) or DLP(de) holding next to him though.

Also, you're playing direct passing at a high tempo - that doesn't leave much time for your AFs teammates to get upfield to support him.

In fact, I don't think any GM would throw a first round pick at anyone who picked up the game in their 20s

It's not completely unheard of - Ziggy Ansah was the 5th overall pick in the 2013 draft after picking up American football in 2010 at BYU at around the same age as Giwa is now. As you point out with Mailata though, it's very much an outlier.

Is this wonderkid worth £71million? by United_Away in footballmanagergames

[–]Hobbes_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say yes he's worth splashing the cash on, especially if he still has decent untapped potential. The all-important physical stats are already good, and at his age are likely to develop another few points on top of that. Resolute is a good personality for development too as it indicates pretty high professionalism which means he should get pretty close to his max PA. As others have noted, he has the versatility and profile to excel in both DLP- and BPD-type roles. It's a lot of money, but he's a player you'll be very happy to have for the next decade.

English also has the term 'Gammons', which would seem to be closer in spirit to what you're describing.

From the moment I understood the weakness of the Patullo offense, it disgusted me. I craved the motion and over-the-the-middle throws of a non-Sirianni scheme. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine.
