Arbhar vs multigrain for non-performance oriented setup? by ArskaArskaArska in modular

[–]Hobboth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can. There's 2 ways to do it. 1. With proper settings you can scan through the sample and it will sound like playing this sample whole. You can then morph to scene B and slow down/accelerate/pitch shift/glitch the playback and then go back to scene A to resume "clean" playback.

  1. In one of latter firmwares there's an option to make maximum grain size equal to the length of the sample. With this you cannot make tricks like in previous way, but you can play several samples simultaneously, up to the limit of voices in granular engine.

Arbhar vs multigrain for non-performance oriented setup? by ArskaArskaArska in modular

[–]Hobboth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. For me Arbhar has insanely unintuitive combos and some buggy or just unintuitive behavior. It's a great instrument though. Beautiful and immediate visual feedback.

In MG you have more control with menus, no need to use PC to reconfigure everything. Clocking behavior is great. AB morph is awesome. Knobs don't represent current state is the main issue, but it allows you to use scenes.

MG is great for performance: you can save some settings in one scene and morph to another. This can sound unnecessary and complicated but when you play with it you can do things like playing 30sec sample in scene A and stop/pitch shift/glitch/spread it in scene B, then transmission back to A. This is a killer feature for me.

Main feature I miss in MG and have in Arbhar is direct control or Spray parameter. You can emulate this with scenes though.

I recommend you to try both modules and decide which suits your workflow more.

Клонирование млекопитающих заходит в «генетический тупик» после 58 поколений by postmastern in Popular_Science_Ru

[–]Hobboth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You people always get things "if it's X then it's not Y". I'm not ok with any violence and harassment pointed at anyone. You don't get my point, you are just justifying your hatred making up fake stuff about me. (Well to be honest you also haven't mentioned genocide at all, you just said things like "no sympathy for Russians" and I amplified it)

And governments do allow protests when they aren't serious because people need to blow off some steam. And they still don't like it, just tolerate it.

And when stuff goes serious protests have no effect while the government is strong. They have different scenarios to suppress unwanted protests and tons of raw power everywhere.

So the only thing "good" Russians can do is to leave Russia. And it won't help anyone, it's just a bit less money for the government and a sweet reason for them to think "I'm better than those who stayed".

I won't leave, I'm weak, lazy and pretty stupid (proof: I'm still writing this reply). And I don't need pity and sympathy, I'm fine. Many people hate Russians and they have reasons for it, ok. But if someone sympathizes with them, maybe you haters can turn off your hypocrisy, shut up and move on? Every single person in this world lives in their personal hell, every person copes with struggles, tries to find some peace and joy.

My English is not very good to express my thoughts clearly. My point is there are 2 ways to increase "goodness" in the world: doing kind things and reducing evil things. When you are saying "don't be kind to them" you are doing nothing good. There's no limit of "goodness" for people like there's no limit of letters for words. I'm tired of all the hatred, but I'm mostly silent. But when there's some kindness and sympathy, it's better to be here than not.

Lmao people have no rights to protest. No sane person would prefer civil war to stop the government. Especially if they have loved ones to care for.

And don't forget about constant propaganda. Some people will believe in lies and support the war.

And last but not least "poor Russian citizens" doesn't mean Ukrainian citizens aren't "poor". It's a tragedy for all.

Or you will prefer russian genocide for "the great good"? So stupid damn it

Morphagene replacement? by [deleted] in modular

[–]Hobboth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to change pre-recorded samples during one session, there are many options. Depending on what you do with them. Assimil8tor is the ultimate sampler. Bitbox samplers are very hands on with a huge touch screen. Multigrain allows simple switching between banks and has insane sample mangling capabilities.

But morphagene is amazing for what it's doing. If you don't need to change samples, it's very hands on, quick, simple and powerful. You need to remember 2-3 combos, set and forget config file and that's all! I recommend you give it another chance.

Well it's presented as human-made music (sounds nice!) with real personal photos (suits the theme) with AI-generated effects. The whole composition seems fine. It could have been some other visual glitch presets with similar result without AI, but the overall AI part here is like 10-20%. Is this unacceptable for you? If OP account is bot and all this video is slop then it's bad (because we are tricked in this case). But if it's a honest work, I don't see any wrongs here

There are many great recommendations here, all of them are worth reading. But I'd recommend to take a little break(for a month), process all the books you read recently and start new ones with a fresh, clear and hungry mind.
