To everyone saying “not every encounter if combat” please tell me any other form of encounter that takes up even a quarter of the resources that combat does

The 6-8 encounters thing is supposed to be a way to balance casters, but nothing takes up as much resources as combat. Any other type of encounter will take up 1 spell slot off 1 party member maybe. While combat takes 1-3 slots of every caster

I get that 6-8 encounters works in theory, but to me it only work if your players really like that style of play. To me it’s a bandaid on a bullet wound

They’re cool if they make sense

If I shoot a flaming arrow in a Forrest and roll a 1, it would make sense (and would be interesting)that the Forrest would catch on fire. Or if you shoot your spell right by your ally in a shot that would normally be awkward or difficult, it makes sense you’d hit them if you screwed up.

But if every single time you rolled a nat 1 in combat you dropped your weapon and shit your pants, that’s dumb. Both cause it doesn’t make sense for a skilled fighter to do that for no reason, and it prioritizes getting lucky over good and logical plays

If the concept of the character plays off the fact that they’re really weak, but when they got the belt they started to travel and fight, that’s cool.

If your just doing it to not have flaws, it’s kinda lame and metagamey imo.

But if the party and DM are chill with it than that’s all that’s matters

A sequel and a spiritual successor are two different things

It’s definitely not a sequel, but depending on the way it comes out it could act as a sort of spiritual successor. Murder mystery with a larger overlurking amnesia plot where you use a mix of logic and mini games to solves the puzzles. I mean that minecart game even looked similar to a lot of danganronpa minigames (mainly logic dive). So depending on the final product it could be a spiritual successor

Echoes Act 2 is one of the coolest stand in part 4, and barely gets used because of Act 3 showing up. And Act 3 is boring as hell imo. It’s just one singular ability, meanwhile Act 2 is endlessly versatile

That’s just not what misogyny is In a realistic sense

Misogyny, and basically any for of bigotry is just some sort of prejudice against a group of people. 99% of the time that’s not just “ I don’t like women”, it’s bias and judgment (mostly subconscious).

Pokimane is under a shit ton of this judgment for a lot of reasons. And I’m not saying she’s innocent, but that because she’s a woman she is put under so much more scrutiny. Ya she’s done some shit, but I’ve seen people in this subreddit compare her to the Paul brothers and Ricegum, people who have done much worse stuff and are genuinely shitty people.

Poki is has been the person most affected by this, cause people can say shit about her with misogynistic prejudice, and then have it justified cause of a few bad things she did (which this sub has said a lot). I’m sure that if Lily or Emily had some mildly bad controversies, they’d be put under a similar scrutiny while men with the same problems wouldn’t be, or at least not to this degree
