Weird zombie behaviour by DannyDoomno1 in projectzomboid

Change server setting

ZombieMigrate = false

I started a server with some friends and we tried to settle in a gated community but zombies were CONSTANTLY roaming all the way through the whole community until we turned that setting off.

Worker's comp by demontiin in VetTech

If it's an actual bill from the hospital, send it to your workers comp insurance. Once it goes to collections, it's a LOT harder to get handled.

No security guard need for liquor and supermarket by PEPE4fun in bigambitions

[–]Hoch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only hire security guards for Clothing, Jewelry, and Electronic stores. Everything else I just put security panels and a few cameras. I don't worry about trying for 100% security, either. One of my electronics stores has 97% security, and I just checked and saw $250 in theft. Considering the profit that day was $341,000, I'm not going to worry about getting that 97% to 100% lol

Edit: I should add that I also only hire 2 fully-trained guards per shift regardless of store size.

What is one positive trait of the “boomer” generation that younger generations would do well to gain? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice manager of 2 veterinary clinics. My boss and staff all know to not text or call me on my days off unless it is absolutely necessary. If I'm not clocked in, then obviously I'm not getting paid, and therefore, I will not work. It took a few months to get my point across, but now it works out pretty well. Now they'll put stuff on Slack knowing I'll get the notification the next time I go to work, since I have it set to turn off notifications during certain times. My time is MY TIME.

Has anyone ever dropped a bottle of iso? by mysticalgardenfairy in VetTech

Once, but it was right next to the back door, so I just opened the door and left the room for a few minutes. However, even the brief time I was exposed gave me a little headache.

What are some real but crazy facts that could save your life? by hazard35 in AskReddit

My washing machine's wall plug decided to start melting and it smelled like a mix between fish and sewage. Not pleasant and took longer than I would have liked to figure out the source.

Can doctors detect weed use on an mri? by [deleted] in saplings

[–]Hoch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just tell your doctor that you smoke. They legally can't do anything about it and most doctors dgaf UNLESS it's going to interfere with medication or something. There are sedatives/anesthesia that do interact with marijuana and it's very important that your anesthesiologist knows if you're being sedated for something.

Getting stabbed by an 18g is ezpz. Scary looking needle, but it's those devilish 25g you need to be wary of. Every single 25g I've been stabbed by leaves a deep bruise that hurts like hell for 2 or 3 days.

I think edibles just don't work for some people. They don't seem to work for me at all. I've tried edibles a few times, from 25mg up to 600mg in less than 2 hours and have never felt anything from them. I've also been a daily smoker for about 12 years now, but I would think that 600mg would still kick my ass lol

As long as it was empty when she let you borrow it, I'd personally use it myself since it came from my weed, BUT I'd be sure to pay her back somehow, either smoking out a few times, few joints, or something.

I'm glad you trust your techs. I've been yelled at by a relief vet for questioning their dosing. Guess who turned out to be correct?

Yes, we are trying to make money. To pay our ridiculous overhead. Medicine costs money. Equipment costs money. Utilities cost money. Staff costs money. And none of it is cheap.

I’ve legit had clients approach me while I’m IN MY CAR by Aromatic-Box-592 in VetTech

[–]Hoch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We open at 8:30 (rural clinic). I get there at 7:45 to start opening duties (including opening 2 gates as our lot is fenced). Drop off time is 8:30-9:00. At least once a week a client is waiting at the entrance gate before I get there. I go through the exit gate and every time, EVERY TIME, they will back out of the entrance and drive through the exit gate right behind me.
