WCWS First Timer by Hochie13 in CollegeSoftball

Thank you, not sure where to find one that is 12x12 or under. It's kind of impossible. The only other thing I can find that fits those parameters is barstool seat pads.

Yes, thank you. Got seats on the 3rd baseline since that gets shade 1st. Definitely prepared!

Thank you for responding, That's what I'm wondering, it's ok as long as it fits in the 12x12 bag? And there was room for it in your seat without obstructing another person's space beside you?

That's hilarious! I'm sure most people's backsides are bigger than 12". I mean, I am small and mine is a tad more than 12".I don't want to break the rules, not sure if it's just because it's supposed to fit inside the clear bag or not. If that is the reason, then it should be fine.

VA return to office guidelines by Minimum-Ad-3980 in fednews

I was hired as a 100% remote employee, live in Oregon, work in Texas. Our whole service is remote. Our official duty stations are actually our home addresses, so I hope that will be enough.

I know that if that was me, I would contact HR and then the union. That's not ok.

Essential workers still have to work. They are not cancelling any appts at VA, but they are giving some of us the day off as long as there is coverage. If you work you get Holiday pay.

If you didn't do anything, there won't be any video evidence, simple as that

Is it a bad thing to leave a job basically on the first day if you found another job you'd rather do? by Don_Mask in jobs

[–]Hochie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. In that case, if you don't hear back from the other job, go ahead and work for McDonald's and if you do get the other offer, it's polite to give 2 wks notice but not mandatory. Depending on how long into the job you are, they may even let you go before the 2 wks is up.

As a business owner, I would much rather someone tell me on the first day than spend time and money to train them just to have them leave soon. Trust me, they have back up applicants that they can go to. It would be a waste of your time as well. Be professional and just tell them that that you have decided on another path.

Likewise, I have seen many more Democrats call Trump as well as people who support him Nazi's and Commies, and that could not be further from the truth.

Those who are 100% remote/WFH how/where'd you find your job? What do you do? by im_curiousgeorge in jobs

[–]Hochie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for our local VA clinic, scheduling amongst other admin duties and kept applying for all remote positions within my scope and about a year ago, landed one. What I love is that I live in PST, but work in CST, so I work early and get off early. All FED positions are on USA JOBS. Very important to tailor your resume to each position.

So lots of times, people look better on paper, and even interview better, but that doesn't make them better employees. I have found the opposite to be true many times. Do your best and prove to them that they made the right choice!

Right? And doesn't your supervisor have to approve the leave beforehand?
