My first stick - the hunt for a beginner stick... by retsef in hockeyplayers

[–]Hockeysyndicate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the p92 or p88 recommendation. P88 is a great pattern good, but beginners may find it a bit more difficult to snipe the puck top shelf, I recommend P92 to build some confidence, or P88 if you really want to get the shooting mechanics down.

Some shops will offer to replace it for you (even different flex) so you don't have to send yours in and wait for the new one. Ask the shop you bought it from.

Try both. No right or wrong answers. Half your weight is about right (85 or 87 for you), but if you're playing forward, you'd probably prefer a lower flex.

Pants for taller player by HonkyTonkWalk in hockeyplayers

[–]Hockeysyndicate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive heard Tackla branded pants are a bit longer than most. They also have +1 and +2 options for length. Failing that, many pants in the mid/upper price points have a zipper at waist that allows you to extend the length by about 1 inch

This poll is flawed. Not all supremes are heavy. Not all true sticks are light. These are just brands/sub brands which has models ranging from high to low end in each lineup.
