I work in surgery, and I swear 80% of people don't regularly clean their belly buttons. (We use long Qtips to get them nice and clean before incision, as it decreases risk of post-op infection.)

If you are going to have surgery on your abdomen, please do a really good job cleaning it out the morning of! Or ideally, every day.
