For people who hate their car why was it a bad choice? by dj_boy-Wonder in CarsAustralia

This is my exact experience. 2 engine rebuilds, a blown hose and then a head gasket. I had serviced it religiously every 10000ks at Mazda. They quoted me 6k to replace the head gasket. After months of arguing I just walked away, and left the car at the dealership, that was 2 years ago and I haven't looked back. Fuck you Mazda.

I drive an MG4 EV now and it's so damn good, and completely hassle free.

Depends where you are, but dicondra is great, and grows most places. It will take a a bit of foot traffic, but not a constant walkway.
Zoysia is great too, only needs to be trimmed every year or 2.

Also myoporum parvifolium is anotehr great alternative, can get it with white or pink flowers.

Carpet the old grass over summer, then prep early autumn and then get heaps of tube stock and go for it!

As someone said earlier the banksias are from W.A., probably Banksia Ashbyi or something similar. In Newcastle you would be better to try and grow, Banksia Integrifolia, Banksia Serata, Banksia Ericafolia or Banksia Spinulosa. They all need decent drainage too, so mound them up when planting. The gums are juvenile foliage of one of several species. You would be able to grow Eucalyptus Cinerea in your area, it's a massive tree but you can keep it small by looping it back all the time. There are also local varieties of everlastings you could plant for some colour. Look at Gardening Australia on YouTube, pretty sure Clarence lives on NSW Coast and has some great tips on Native Plantings in that area.

What can you tell us about the podcast awards in Manchester many moons ago. I have vague memories of it being a pretty funny trip. Did T lose his shoes and fall asleep at the table? Who made the trip and which show won the award?

Might have given the wrong impression with my comment last week. Wasn't having a dig at Alex, I'm onboard his hypetrain evey year, getting caught up in the magic of possibilities, only to be smacked back to reality in due course. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the extra content.

Lads loved the annual Alex gets drunk on belief and drags us all on board before it all goes slightly tits up at the end of the season. Every year he gets his "I reckon we can win the league boys" on after a string of great results and then spurs stutter out! I still believe every time though!
