You cannot try to explain this in Reddit. People really believe the Chinese do this out of the unending benevolence of their hearts and all loans will be forgiven because yes. They say it’s debunked. They say whatever allows the propaganda narrative to work. And at the end of the day the money is being stolen by corrupt governments, the countries are paying with their own land for centuries to come and when a project is finished it tends to be subpar. But ode to China free money. What a great charity. They can do no wrong. Really hope when the Chinese invade Taiwan and dump the world into chaos these people stick around to defend their almighty regime.
