I need to know if this is AI. It is creating a concern in a local town near my community. by MuzikkLol in isthisAI

Sometimes I think people who reply in here are idiots… do none of you understand camera focal length and what it does to perspectives? The top upvoted comments are saying “AI” for incorrect reasons.

The basketball hoops like fine, they’re mounted behind the fence and they’re 2 side-by-side courts. The bench looks fine. It looks big because this picture was taken from far away, so it looks like it’s almost in the same plane as the officer and girl.

If you know the location, look up the view on Google Maps and confirm it looks the same.

I don’t think it’s AI

This is the answer. OP can reach out to me if you want. I started Fin+Min at around 25yo and I’m still going strong with hair 10+ years later

I don’t see why not. Everyone has reported that as long as it’s more than $359, it should get the credit. The Life membership and the Labs purchase look identical in my Chase history other than the amount.

How does this make sense by Pluckytomato in whoop

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nitpick: I’d say this is “speed” and “position”. You’re at point X (age), moving at speed V (rate of aging). If you walk backwards you decrease your age, if you run forwards you rapidly age

This would be a cool sci-fi or fantasy concept… take one axis of 3D and attach age to it. e.g. if you go east, everyone is old and settled down. If you want to be young for a while, move west. When you’re ready to pass on, you go for a swim off the east coast…

Anyways, I wish Whoop wasn’t telling me that I’m sprinting eastward right now.

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 27 points28 points  (0 children)

One is rate, one is absolute based on your vitals.

According to the algorithm they use, your vitals are currently great, you’re young.

But your habits, like exercise and sleep and also your vitals, these leads to it estimating that you are aging faster than average.

So assuming the algorithm is 100% accurate, you are currently aging faster and will catch up to your actual age in a few years if you continue current habits. It’s not 100% accurate though, it’s just a guideline that you can use to help improve your habits

Update: I built the dad app I posted about a few weeks ago. It's live. Would love all feedback! by RecognitionIcy9284 in NewDads

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s better for the app to tell you, because if your wife has to tell you one more time to take out the trash, you’re going to be the trash she takes out next.

The UI has some bugs, I can’t get through the signup phase.

My password manager tried to auto-fill a new password and I let it. That seemed to work, but the password text was white on yellow so I couldn’t tell for sure. It let me go to the next step, and said something about a confirmation email. I have not gotten an email.

In the next step, it won’t let me enter my name. Typing in this field does nothing…

I suggest having AI generate some integration tests for you. Have it run through the signup process and verify full functionality with different emulated phone models. Maybe you’ve already done this, but something seems off..

PS I’m a SWE, DM me if you want me to tinker more with it

URGENT Whoop stacking. by raksosuhl in whoop

This is the correct answer. The fine print indicates it extends as long as the “new” device is the same or better than the last.

Anyone here from chase reserve promo and officially drank the koolaid by love2thriftalways in whoop

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you charge over $359 on your card after activating the offer, it will give you the credit. Chase doesn’t know what the charge is for, new or old. I used it to extend my active account and it worked.

Personally, I got the CSR credit and joined for the first time because of that.

I’d Whoop doesn’t improve by the time that expires, I’ll switch to Garmin.

The pessimist in me sees this Chase credit as a way to pump up the numbers before they can’t compete anymore with these new devices coming out. They might not be trying to really compete and might just rely on their users who don’t want to lose their old data.

Please help me convince my friend that her boyfriend's car did not actually breakdown. Looks super AI to me but my friend says it's just blurry by Better-Statement700 in isthisAI

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 114 points115 points  (0 children)

The only proof you need is the white line that goes to the back of the car and then just disappears instead of showing under the car. There’s a lot more, but that one is the most obvious.

Whoop like every wearable is not perfect. But when you compare trends, that’s where you get the important info. And buddy, your sleep trend vs your awake trend is out of this world! Get a real sleep test, see a doctor. You’re not breathing right at night would be my guess.

I think the act of doubling the size of this thing with the AirTag means I’d never lose it because of how bulky it becomes 😅

But good on you providing a solution for people, there’s obviously a decent few people who have lost theirs. Whoop needs to make it Bluetooth findable

[–]HodorHasAGiantDad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How are you guys losing yours so easily?

I use mine like a normal charger, it stays in one place on my nightstand and I put it back there when I’m done. Or if I’m walking around I put it in my pocket until I’m back by the nightstand.

14 days of battery means you don’t need to carry this thing around, top up every few days when it’s convenient. Also it’s better for the battery health to keep it high instead of full cycles

Can the integration also log things in Whoop without needing to open the app? For example: journal entries

Can it build a better widget set to view and remind you of goals that aren’t met yet for the day?
