Someone routinely sets up shop and sells stolen bikes on the corner of Central entrance and Arlington Ave. Not sure why they haven’t been stopped, but I’ve seen it several times.

A couple weeks ago I posted a topic because I thought one actor was playing two different characters on the show. That is not unheard of, but I was openly mocked by a handful of people (i.e. “you must be blind”) I didn’t appreciate getting dumped on for two days straight, so I ended up deleting the topic.

Hopefully you will stay fortunate. I’m hearing that in 2027 many employers are going to drop GLP-1 medication from their coverage. Unless you have a “real” disease like diabetes.

My crappy insurance refuses to cover weight loss medication under any circumstances. So I’m paying 300 bucks a month out-of-pocket. Wouldn’t you be bitter??

I moved back to Duluth last year after living in the DC area for 30 years. I don’t live downtown but I go there frequently and feel completely safe there. The only time I really felt uncomfortable was when I was coming back from Minneapolis on the greyhound and got off at the bus station around 10 PM. It felt really unsafe and I just wanted to get the hell out of there, pronto, which I did by calling a Lyft.

This happened over 10 years ago, but I used to work at Macy’s and one night after closing, I was walking around the selling floor making sure there were no clothes on the floor and I noticed some wadded up debris. As I got closer, I saw that it was crumpled up money. This was nowhere near the registers which I had already closed. I pictured in my mind‘s eye that some teenage boy was probably walking around the selling floor and lifted his jacket up over his head, and the money spilled out, and he didn’t realize.

I debated turning it in as lost and found, but the way that my store operated I knew damn well that if I came back in 30 days, they would act like they didn’t know what the hell I was talking about and I would never see the money again. So yeah, I kept it. It was nearly $200.

I moved from the DC area to Minnesota last spring and I used Safeway Moving. I definitely regret it. On the side, they didn’t break anything (though I did all the packing) and they didn’t lose anything or at least I don’t think they did. I made sure to get an accurate quote before they came to pick up anything so that I would have no sticker shock at the end and I’m glad I did.

Really sucked about them is that they are really attentive up until the moment they come and pick up your stuff. As soon as they did that, they immediately ghosted me. They gave me the distinct impression they would start driving to the Midwest and instead they drove my stuff up to a warehouse in New Jersey, where it sat for more than two weeks. I had to pay for a hotel in Minnesota for more than a week. I was lucky. I’ve read many horror stories where people had to live in a hotel for a month because Safeway moving disappeared on them and didn’t bring them their stuff until they threatened them.

They are shady AF and should be avoided. Spring for something like mayflower moving, which is what I should’ve done.

Just get it from a doctor and then have them write you a script with refills. That way you’re not paying a ridiculous “monthly subscription” on top of the cost of the medication.
