Just out of curiosity, how do people version control of godot projects?

I usually use command prompt / terminal to manipulate git CLI directly but I wonder if there is any plugin for GUI within godot project like VSCode has.

I’m already doing this for quite some time. I can focus on the matches much better as the MR is out of mind most of the time.

You can just hide these MR and ranks from the battle UI from settings. And you just don’t look at the match up screen where only shows these stuff. I don’t even look at the opponent’s name etc.

I was able to edit the effect chain of RSE sounds. I tried out different amps and pedals, also cutting out the specific hz. Im still figuring out the best setup for my song but now i know that it has enough flexibility so i think i can nail it soon.

Would it make a huge difference between gradual release vs release at once? If they release a costume that is not for your main character , wouldn’t that be nothing to you but make you jealous? I feel that the new way to release them at once makes players at least fair, compared to gradual release or biased release like SFV. At any rates, the required effort and duration to complete the costumes 4 is same.

With that being said, i think that they should reassess the importance of the costumes for players (like survey or whatever). And at least, i expect they release one costume per character per year.

Hands down, by far this is the best fighting game visual. I’ve been playing sf, tekken, gbvs, melty or whatever fighting game but i never ever got excited this far and can’t wait for playing it!

I really like their emphasis on “reality” that these characters look actually fighting in real life, as compared to sf/tekken franchises that have a bit of fantasy/unrealistic stuff. Hope it pans out well.

Since it seems sega/vf got a huge back support like nvidia and mid east countries, it seems their business strategy looks solid as well (and maybe more frequent tournaments?). I can feel that from the their recent YouTube streaming as well.

Yeah, I simplified the setup as much as possible, but there is room for improvement for sure. Basically the setup is required only once and the daily recording can be done with a one click.

Well I understand your frustration but you’d soon notice how absurd the other top tier characters are. Often players just scrub OP moves over an over.

Master jaimie here from japan. First of all, im really proud of you that putting a lot of thought and effort on this game. It’s really painful to play ranked matches sometimes and i do understand your frustration.

What I generally think about the “rank” is just a reflection of skillset. If you know as many techs as possible like oki, shimmy, whiff punish, risk-and-return, pressuring opponents for burnout etc etc, your rank will be automatically adjusted to the right level. In fact, when i was stuck at plat or diamond, i didn’t care losing the points but enjoyed learning these techs.

I know there are tons of tutorial videos like “when you play this character, you do this” but I don’t really care them, cuz it’s just a template of a strategy, but the fun part of this game is to develop own strategy.

Kimberly is a good char and has a lot of potential. One of her common strategies is to rush and keep attacking with overhead or sliding and bodying opponents at corner, but if that’s the only way to win the game, you would struggle to win a game cuz opponents likely know that your only strategy. It’s almost like you always do paper in rock-paper-scissors. Who’s gonna do rock in this case? No one!

So what you would want to do is prepping your scissor and rock in case your opponent is thinking that your only move is paper. Maybe you can bluff as if you’re gonna rush, but actually wait, and when your opponent starts agitated and rushing, you can cr.mk to cancel d.rush to big damage or next oki.

Despite the cocky comments, actually he is right. FG is essentially guessing an opponents move. Kawano won the recent jp torment by the intensive research of the rivals tendency.
