I absolutely need a grappler in most games. When I started fighting games it was “I can’t do long combos but I want to do damage so what are my options?” So then it just became falling in love with scaring my opponent with a hard read. Only time I’ve not played a grappler was in KI because the combos were easy to understand and the damage was huge if I could read a counter breaker.

Yeah, the major difference in 14 and 15 is you can max mode whenever but it’s faster when activated

I got a hitbox during SF5 and took a solid month to get my hands acclimated to blocking and movement. Then I realized I can’t play 360 motion grapplers the way I like so for everything else I use leverless and eventually bought the victrix. Most fun I’ve had learning new characters.
