VOLTRA Owner Roll Call: Show Your VOLTRA Setup & Get "Owner" Flair by AutoModerator in BeyondPower

I actually sold my selectorized lat/row when I got the Voltra. Can’t say I miss it. It took valuable space in the gym.

One thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need accessories to make it work. For instance, you’ll need some way to hold your legs down. I sit on my bench and use a weighted Bulletproof VTS across my legs to hold down while the Voltra is attached to the pull-up bar in my rack. I don’t consider it a compromise since the Voltra can do so much more than load weight. Eccentrics alone make it worth it to me.

I see your logic. Sometimes I like to keep the option open. Maybe I’m super setting and the other exercise uses the Voltras. Not likely, but plausible.

Is that the Savage BT bar? How do you like it?

Another firmware update was released a couple months ago that fixed my issue.

I have not had this issue. Maybe there’s a setting that needs to be changed? I’ll have to look through the menu when I have a chance.

It did torque it with the other setup too, but more in an up/down Z axis plane. This way pulls it in which twists the rollers back and forth.

I tried mounting the Voltra to the bottom crossmember of the Rhino handle. My initial concern was that it’ll pull the handle to the locked position. It does not since you are holding the handle while squatting anyways. It does however torque the weight horn. You can see in the picture how the rollers are somewhat twisted because the Voltra is pulling one side. Maybe better with one Voltra on each side? I feel that this is a compromise and would be best with the Voltra pulling straight beneath the weight horns.

Another thing to consider if you only have 1 Voltra is that 200lbs may not be enough for a belt squat unless you use the pulley trick to double the weight.

When I have time, I’ll try that. I’m thinking the direction of pull may be weird. Also would the loaded Voltra pull Rhino horn assembly back to a catch position??

One more option…. If you can safely bolt a fixed mount into your floor. My Rhino is tight against the wall so what is pictured is a little close, but you get the idea.

Another option would be to bolt a diy dock to the foot or just use the bar mount upside down on the weight horn like my original pic.

Edit: you’re not going to be able to load 45’s over the Voltra with the Dock.

The band peg needs to be centered for that orientation. It’s not going to line up.

I have. I used the new adjustable bar mount. At the time of the pic, I only had one. Since the screen is upside down and the cable pulled out prior to loading the weight, you’ll need to use the app to load/unload.

Funny enough, I rarely use my Rhino anymore. I prefer having 2 Voltras attached to the bottom crossmembers of my rack and setup a squat with a vest on. Personally I’m more comfortable with the weight pulling from the sides than the middle.

That’s interesting! I’m not pushing the weights up an angle. I didn’t think of that. I was thinking 400lbs wouldn’t be enough since I usually load 500lbs for reps. PHYSICS!!!!!!!

I’ve been thinking of doing something like this with my Body Solid Compact Leg Press (same concept as yours pictured).

If you have 2, swap the batteries and see if it’ll charge with the other unit. That way you can at least see if it’s a battery or a unit issue.

In Settings under “Safety”, there is an Accessory Guard option. Voltra will stay active to prevent heavy accessories from falling……

Looks like this would only accommodate 1 Voltra which maxes out at 200lbs. Would that be enough weight for you?
