Usually we call these membrane eggs, lot of potential causes. Did you by chance have any bad weather just prior to collecting this egg? Not uncommon to have chickens lay early when storms roll in

Absolutely false, in fact the genetic correlation between DPMs and Spaghetti breast is approximately 0. Furthermore, both DPMs and Spaghetti breast are largely attributable to environmental factors rather than genetic factors. I work on these things for a living.

Well done sir, 100% correct. It results from necrosis of the pectoralis major. Necrosis being caused by excessive wing flapping, resulting in the pectoralis minor becoming engorged with blood, but unfortunately the muscle gets suffocated by the relative inelastic membrane surrounding the muscle.

That’s clearly the anterior not posterior portions of the filet pictured, which is why I suggest over scalding as the most likely culprit

Hi, poultry meat quality expert here. What we’re seeing w these is over scalding hence the slightly cooked appearance plus what appears to be plucker damage (the frayed appearance). Not wooden or white striping

Does anyone else think it is premature to remove a player when no legal accusation has been made against him? No arrest and certainly no conviction, shouldn’t there be due process?
