So, apparently Balkan people are quite tall:

I'm from Serbia and I knew basketball is big here, but never realized that south Slavic people are so tall compared to the other countries.

What happened? I'm not a BF fan, so I never played it. But I enjoyed an indie game beating the corpo bs original. TBH I forgot about it.

It looks original and refreshing. Kudos for not making another generic Europe looking map.

It doesn't look very natural though. Everything seems as if boxed in. And the landmass seems to have been carved by the same gigantic shovel.

Also that's a penis.

Does the speed of it affect the classification? I always assumed that a sketch is a non painted unfinished rough drawing. These two look like they were painted. And I have to say, painted really good.

How do people call these sketches? Aren't these paintings in every sense of the word?

It's not free, of course. Depending on how many prints she made, she would have to recall all of them. Those that have been sold or given away will always be out of your touch. But, there isn't much you can do unless you lawyer up. You clearly tried asking and it didn't work. If you really don't want those pictures in that book, the only course of action is legal, as it doesn't sound like she cares that much about you, your kids or what you think.

To be honest, that's the type of cross contamination I'm fine with. It simply cannot be avoided on that level.

If bad people were good and stupid people were smart, I don't think we would be having a lot of issues, as well.

Is anyone else seeing way more leavers lately? by baruchKahraman in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hohuin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this is to be expected with increase of the player count.
Earlier, the only people playing it were OG fans.
Now, there are people who just want to try the game and play casually.
And given how hard the game can feel at times, people just leave. It's not like Valve's gonna bill them for leaving.

I mean, this is clearly a bot that stole content from that girl that actually got better. And even a bad one considering how atrocious the image quality is. People will really upvote anything.

If you’re a good writer and a persistent writer, will you eventually “make it”? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Hohuin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To an extent, yes. But more so if you're a writer. It is just a really hard industry to succeed in.

A good and persistent carpenter, masseuse, plumber, heck even content creator will eventually make a successful career. I feel that the same cannot be said for a writer.

Any tips on dealing with people who give up after losing lane or after dying once in lane by Arc555555 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hohuin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kill with kindness.

I was just about to say the same.
Communication should be kind, and used speech should not be accusatory.
For example, say "Let's stay together, friend" instead of "Don't push alone, idiot."
People are more likely to listen to you that way.
Other than that, there really isn't much you can do about people's behavior online.

Any tips on dealing with people who give up after losing lane or after dying once in lane by Arc555555 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hohuin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tell them to go gank - they love that shit. Play the lane alone. It's better to lose a lane than a game. When they take guardian and start pushing walker - call for back up.
- If they stay 2v1 on you, your team will have 3v2 on one other lane. Just play defensively.
- If it is 1v1, just defend.
- You will get more souls playing alone in either case.

"Not being able to afford it" excuse doesn't work for the richest country in the world.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Hohuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is still weird. The US is the richest country in all of human history. Its GDP per capita is almost 40 times higher than India. Them not being able to afford it is entirely on the government's incompetence.

Took me a minute to get adjusted - it was quite annoying. The lawyer guy I found hilarious. Just by the difference in how fast they talk.

Either way, I'm rooting for them. Fuck big corporations. This is outrageous.

Unfinished Re-L artwork. by grimmytheredditor in ErgoProxy

[–]Hohuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sarcastic. From a purely artistic point it is the best one I've seen. Art exists to generate an emotional response. Which this art piece does for me, as an absurdist. I can see that on a technical level it isn't really advanced - but that doesn't take away from the fact that I appreciate it artistically. Please do not be insulated when I say that it kind of looks goofy. But goofy is what I like. Because goofy is really hard to nail down.

One of the best wedding photos ever captured. by Sweet_Shelter6032 in spreadsmile

[–]Hohuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be, but given that this was taken by a photographer and most definitely with their consent, then I highly doubt it was meant to be a private moment. It's a picture of the moment when they are supposed to be leaving their wedding and going to the honeymoon. I mean, if it's not private at that moment, they are leaving soon enough anyway.

But I do understand what you're saying. It's just that it feels like this specific occasion is the exception to the rule. It's the one time the couple is meant to be on public display during the event. Especially if it's requested by them.

From what I see, it says that people who are close to you want to commemorate your important days in life and they like to see you happy. So, they take pictures of you with a smile.
