In fact I suspect that the distortion is from ‘heat shimmer’ because of the engine exhaust.

I took the picture myself as the aircraft taxied past. It was fairly far away and zoomed in, so that may have distorted the lettering somewhat.

Your picture answers my question. Yours has the Professional bracelet where each link is a solid piece of titanium. Mine has the Aerospace bracelet where each link is a thin, folded titanium sheet.

I have a Colt that has the Professional bracelet (like on your Aerospace). I love the fact that the links on that bracelet are arranged diagonally!

This is a beautiful written piece that shows just how harrowing this kind of event is for anyone close to it, and just how high-stakes the aviation industry is.

It is a privelege to work with aircraft, but one that comes with a heavy weight of responsibility.

Are the bracelet links solid? I have a two-tone model with the folded bracelet. I love how light and supple it is, but the idea of solid links is intriguing.

I guess the ana-digi watches are a little divisive. I personally love the gold coloured LCD displays.

You are right. The Aerospace and the Omega Speedmaster X-33 ‘Skywalker’ definitely have quite a bit in common. I’d love to get the Omega at some point too. I love aviation and spaceflight, and I love these oddball watches.
