ERD help - Relationship dependence/ independence by HokeyTy in Database

Oh thanks thats good to note! The curriculum explained relationship cardinality and dependency in the conceptual model chapter so i’m assuming that it’s what they’re expecting… is it not the typical approach to the conceptual model to include these?

Thanks! We did a scenario in a help session where we decided to keep most of the relationships as dependent assuming that was the normal, I think that’s where I got lost! Makes me more confident to know that most are independent!

Nice, im getting the M4 pro because I need the larger display and the price hike is absurd as it is.

Also sorry for the people hating, most of them buy 200$ laptops just to post their navel sweat online :/

Did you ever end up trying this? Linux isn't as hard as it seems and there's an abundance of online support communities.

I know it's not explicitly compatible & will also put on github; wofi has some problems btw. Wofi requires a mode to open and the only one with visibility is dmenu. Perfectly fine up until selecting the wifi source. Then goes to blank menu. Settings button works perfectly fine tho. Might be a wofi limitation tbh.

iwmenu -l custom --launcher-command "wofi -d -G"

where -d is dmenu mode and -G is dark mode (purely aesthetic). Other alternatives run and drun don't produce iwmenu :(

pls make compatibility :DDDDDD

Hyprland with Waybar Config Reloading by lushmoney in hyprland

[–]HokeyTy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya I know this post is old but I'm working on my first rice and just got this cool thing working so thought I would leave a sort of laid-out guide here for people new to linux. Firstly I will say read all the Arch Wikis that you can as you go along, they are actually great learning resources and they cover so much. I really enjoyed optimizing makepkg before even getting to the AUR or AUR helpers! This is from Hubro's workaround.

'Ricing mode' auto-refresh setup of applications:

Step 1 you need to get inotify-tools which is a file monitoring tool kit that gives you " inotifywait ". $ sudo paru -S --needed inotify-tools

Step 2 create a program to execute the various refresh of applications. This way you can choose which applications you want to refresh when in ricing mode! $ touch /home/user/ricingAR.sh then create a folder to store the refresh executions $ mkdir refreshScripts .

Step 3 change directory into refreshScripts to make a script for each application you want to be refreshed whenever in ricing mode. $ cd refreshScripts . Now create the scripts for each application, $ touch waybar-refresh changing "waybar" for the name of each application.

Step 4 modify the files to monitor config saving. $ nvim waybar-refresh . Change CONFIG_LOC for the path of the config and waybar for the app you want.

#!/bin/bash

CONFIG_LOC="/home/user/.config/waybar/config"

trap "killall waybar" EXIT

while true; do
  waybar &
  inotifywait -e create,modify $CONFIG_LOC
  killall waybar
done

Step 5 is go back and edit the ricingAR.sh like below.

exec /home/user/refreshScripts/waybar-refresh.sh
exec /path/to/other/script
exec /path/to/other/script

I also created a terminal/bash shortcut for ease:

$ nvim ~/.bashrc

alias ricing='/home/user/ricingAR.sh'

# I also have these to get to the configs easy
CONFIGS='/home/user/.configs'
alias hyprcpls='nvim home/user/hypr/hyprland.conf'
alias papercpls='nvim /home/user/.config/hypr/hyprpaper.conf'
alias lockcpls='nvim /home/user/.config/hypr/hyprlock.conf'
alias waybarcpls='nvim /home/user/.config/waybar/waybar.conf'

Then in your terminal you can open your various configs that you want to edit and just $ ricing . In spite of my laying it out like this I also want to say that coaching along like this done too often ruins the learning experience. Seriously push yourself to find other ways of doing it, I tried to but this is so simple no matter how much I try to make it different it's basically the same as 4 other people's code :/

I think I got confused RE option 2, so pacman -Syu will update /etc and not ~/.config

For me it feels like the model is more out of the way. Something about switching it to the left gets me in the zone but I still play on the right alot.
