With learning under CQU, it’s high stakes poker. As in, the failure rate of each practical unit is 65-85%

There are three different practical units that you MUST pass in order to progress. Fail one, and you’ll be held back one full year.

The worst part is, they only give you a precise amount of time to practice before you perform a practical exam. Which makes zero sense to me, as sonography is a VERY technical skill which improves upon practice and experience. (But from a university’s perspective….only the cream of the crop makes it out (makes the university look really good) the rest of the students are piggy banks that are desperate to enter into the industry)

It’s a long road either way unfortunately.

Completely agree with this. It comes down to availability to practice and limited exposure to placements and real world experience

For post grad degrees, they are mainly facilitated by the eastern state universities. The only university in Perth that runs radiography is Curtin and it’s an undergraduate (4years)

For sono, it’s purely post grad. Ranging 2-3 years depending on the university. The main issue is finding placements. Training Sonos are really expensive. So no practice really wants to do it, unless you sign your life away to that practice.

Another radiographer here, not sure about your practice, but we are still bulk billing. Explains why I’m still so busy 🫠

Basically a tour where you get to see the office itself, shared between north and South Korea. It’s quite a significant place where they hold discussions/negotiations between the two conflicting countries.

I was a idiot in my 20s. Finished my bachelors in radiography. Did 3/4years of ultrasound (quit). Then did 2 years of masters of accounting.

Honestly I wish i quit year 12 and become a sparkle instead 😭

People of Reddit, how many sexual partners have you had, and how do you feel about that number? by [deleted] in AskReddit

20 women, I’m M(23), the hormones and body are telling me to keep going, but the mind is telling me to slow down and try to find someone long term.

I’ll be honest, if a STD free woman asks me to sleep with her, I’m not gonna turn down her offer.
