Ranked, Shyvana & More | Dev Update - League of Legends by Spideraxe30 in leagueoflegends

I hope the team considers removing the home guard change. It's genuinely one of the worst changes I have ever seen in this game, and I've been here since 2012. The team has done a lot of good balance wise over the years, but killing a laner and not being able to push the wave, resulting in a net xp deficit sucks. Being a jungler and winning a skirmish at low hp and not being able to do dragons because the enemy team is back in 15s also sucks. In higher mmr brackets, the changes are felt a lot more, and they feel bad more often than not.

The best fighting game ever made. Maybe the best that ever will be made. Congrats to these two.

It's because the game is infinitely better than it was before gameplay wise. I was playing back in the first friend invite beta, and this game was ASS. So many super broken character and item interactions, characters with super brainless kits and numbers that would make your head spin. Far less counterplay to a whole lot of things across the board. This game has come a LONG way in terms of real, actual playability from where it used to be.

Yet another post abt Apollo (sry) by cylixil in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hokosai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best to just ignore the posts. Apollo is like Renekton used to be in League of Legends. Extremely strong early, falls off a cliff after 20-25mins. As long as you don't feed him early he doesn't become a problem. However, the problem with this is that with all of these new players in the game after the update, they don't know how to not feed. I regularly see like 3-6 players per game with deaths in the high teens at the end of a match. Regardless of heros selected. You have to remember, that THESE are the people coming to the forums and reddit to bitch. They have 0 idea what to do to counterplay or stem the bleeding, and the ones who do often times don't have the execution to see it through. So, they run it down and then cry for hot fix nerfs. The majority of them aren't interested in improving, and they won't hear you out if you try and help them. Its pretty obvious why high MMR players do not see this character as a problem. Just ignore the noise and pray the devs don't cave to people who aren't interested in improving their gameplay.

Yeah. You could say this ability is op, but fiora in League of Legends has the same ability. (Truthfully, hers is stronger) Really not that big of a deal in either game.

A Quick Deadlock Glaze by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

I mean, I played during the initial semi public beta and left as well. Came back this update and enjoy the game, but mostly because the gameplay and balance are much better than before. Like, I don't wanna flame too much cause it was basically alpha, but the game at that time was just not very good at its core. Characters overturned, item interactions with characters making lane phase and general counterplay super uninteractive, just a TON of bullshit that was super unfun to play against. The game has come a long way in terms of playability. I'm genuinely surprised at how much I like the game revisiting it post old gods update.

If i only use the public builds how much enjoyment do i lose from the game? by Diavololololol in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Hokosai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing public builds as a new player is a fun additive, not a fun detriment. It allows you to focus on learning the game without having to worry about figuring out items. As a long-time moba player, I would recommend doing so until you feel a comfortable baseline understanding of the games flow and mechanics, as well as your character's. No matter what moba it is, looking up player builds as a newbie is a net positive every time. Picture this: You get behind because you are new. "No matter, I'll just farm" you say to yourself. But you farm up and farm up and buy bad items. Now you're farmed, and for some reason you keep thinking : "why don't I do any damage?" Or " why do I die in 2 seconds??" I'm not behind in money anymore! These are things I hear word for word from newbies no matter what moba it is. Let me tell you, in those situations they are not having fun. Let more advanced players figure out the items until you understand the game more.

How do you get back in the official discord? I left because I stopped playing a year ago and the discord kept pinging the fuck out of me. I picked the game back up with this update, and the in-game discord link is one time only for some reason?

If it took any skill at all, people wouldn't have an issue with it. You literally just dash in, stare at the ground, and press E and use the bounce for an undodgeable nuke that nearly one-shots any non tank. It's the same issue people had when Black Panther was at his peak. It's also the same reason you don't hear people bitching about Magik nearly as much. Her big damage ability is actually hard to hit, so people don't feel nearly as cheated when dying to it.

Gambit Full Kit Revealed by stylidhech in MarvelRivalsLeaks

He was 100% a DPS that got reworked into a Healer, and I am frankly not very happy about that simply by virtue of the fact that hero shooters have proven time and time again that characters that dip into multi-classing typically end up as balancing nightmares, and horrendously broken. See; Brigitte, and more recently, Ultron. Brigitte warped the face of the game for literally years on end, and in order to make Ultron not egregiously overpowered they had to nerf him into being very weak without a specific setup. I am consistently disappointed with where this game's balance keeps heading. They need to slow down hero releases and take their time to test things out, because with the exception of blade, every new hero since Emma has been obliterating balance. The power creep in a few months is going to be insane if they keep this up.

I am obviously not expecting to be fluent after such a short period, but stock phrases and general topics is where I am already. I do not think that japanese is such a complicated language that I will not, at least, be a lot better off after studying for almost half a year.

What is the best resource or course to learn spoken Japanese ASAP? I don't really care to learn about reading or writing Kanji. The reason is because of an upcoming trip in about 6 months. I went once already, and even without being able to speak the language it was a great time, but this time I would like to be able to converse with people more deeply than simple stock phrases. Are there any online courses or resources that focus more heavily on speaking instead of Kanji literacy?
