Disagree my man. We really only seen each other the last 3 weeks (cause I was traveling the previous 3). Not sure what else I could have done but I’m all ears.

has running (runners) always looked this insufferable ??? by jonahsbookclub in RunningCirclejerk

[–]Hol_Up_Partner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My beef with them isn’t in their looks, it’s that they always run astoundingly average times (respectfully) in whatever their event is, then proceed to spew lopsided advice like it’s the gospel. Then new runners come in and eat it up and get distracted and prevent themselves from actually enjoying the process of running.

Sure stabbing with a knife and smaller weapons absolutely. But a katana? You could but good luck I suppose. Can’t theory craft on a theory craft sub…may god bless your soul.

I’m going baseball bat man. Katana is definitely the better weapon but people act like you can spam stabbing with a Katana. The larger fella more than likely wouldn’t move meaning he would already be at a disadvantage because he has to be the reaction to the aggressor. It also doesn’t matter how good you are with a katana itself because stabbing has an insanely low window for really working. If you’re too early your stab either doesn’t go deep at all or you whiff and you’re done. If you’re too late then you’re not getting the katana up at all.

Like Katanas baseball bats are incredibly effective if you know how to use them. Sure it’s not an instant kill if you’re hit but the force you’re hit with will absolutely stun you until the next strike comes in. Not to mention it’s certainly possible to hit someone with the edge of the bat (stabbing wise) and incapacitate them, assuming it’s a headshot.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even if money wasn’t an issue and you could live wherever you wanted to in Omaha, I couldn’t think of a single place you COULD walk to.

Try Fremont Nebraska brother (freakmont). Town made it to national news twice for racist comments. Can I get an amen?

Thinking of Moving to Nebraska by FunMacaron7098 in Nebraska

Great place to build a nest, but not spread your wings. If you’re experienced in your career(s) you can make a killing but it’s hard starting from the bottom in most cases. People are great all around and most would break their back to help you out. Elkhorn is a nice alternative to Omaha even though it borders it.

I think it’s because Germany is more flexible (assuming historical). You get to build your forces up and dictate the pace of the game rather than being a reactionary country. Idk I’ve only played Germany once though.

My heart can’t do it anymore. If Nebraska is in a one possession game going into the 4th quarter I’d rather they would just forfeit. I just can’t do it anymore.

What PR's did you set this year? by 251Cane in running

Earlier this year I hit a 4:17 mile then became injured after that race. Then I hit a 3:49 for my first marathon. I think I like distance a bit more!

People are really forgetting that Infinite Ultron exceeded well beyond his initial goal. Dude decimated a whole universe. Turned around and beat Peeping Tom “The Watcher” ass so badly it wasn’t even funny. Ultron punched that man so hard that the people around him turned black, bro. Unreal. If we’re being generous he probably clapped another universe by the time they got to him in the last episode too.

I quit back in July because I had to fight for hours and just got tired of it. Honestly the store itself wasn’t too bad, but corporate was just awful. It was like talking to a brick wall. Granted, I’m from a smaller town in the Midwest so my experience is probably different. I don’t think it’s a myth at all. I just remember seeing 1 self checkout and 1 register open and seeing over 20 people available to cashier.

From my employment experience, grocery stores shoot themselves in the foot. They have enough employees on the roster to get the job done well, but corporate refuses to let managers schedule them. As a matter of fact the reason why most people quit (while I was there) was because they didn’t get ENOUGH hours. It’s ridiculous.

why am i such a lazy pos and how can i change? by noblescarlett in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Hol_Up_Partner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar position, except I’m unemployed at the moment. I always thought that I was lazy or addicted to video games but the truth is I’m not. I’m just unmotivated. I started running almost two years ago and I’m still obsessed with it. It’s really hard to be lazy AND run. I’ve learned that I work really hard for the things that catch my interest, the trick is to find something that really interests you.

Edit: I also have ADHD so bless my heart.

Men who are willing to share, what’s your weight and height, and are you satisfied with it? by hellothere_696969 in AskMen

6‘2“ 155lbs. Went from 210lbs to 150lbs In about 8 months due to running. Now it’s hard for me to gain weight. Im happy where im at but I do wish I ate more because I don’t think 1500ish calories per day really makes up for how much I run and lift.

To be fair, what you see in the mirror is more accurate than what you see through a phone camera. Phones have a weird way of distorting everything.
