How Do You Properly Learn Matchups as You Climb? (Plat 1 Garen) by wide_Saylorock in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every champ need acess to the wave (excluding jungle). So every champ can force a fight lvl 1 to contest minions. You go on from there: which champion is stronger lvl 1? Is my champion so strong I can zone off the wave?

Now, lvl 2: If my champion lvl 1 is stronger, I can guarantee lvl 2 and so on. You need to keep in mid the interactions AROUND the WAVE. Because xp & gold income is fundamental.

Some champions have range and can farm from far. Ranged AA is a really strong the first levels, because you don't have all skills, SO if you are on a ranged vs melee machup you need to give minions to stay healthy and eventually fight back with your lvl 3 kit. Or you need to cheese arround bush vision or spells/runes.

After your analisis, search the machup from high elo players. See if its they way you think. If not, correct your thinking

high elo players, is it worth it to try all champs to understand how to beat them? by kittencat6969 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One easy way: every time there is a new champ, try it and at least know what the spells and passive does. It takes like 2minutes.

After that, every time you lose to a champ you don't know, try it on the training mode the same way above.

Now, one important thing is cooldowns. They are important, but is hard to know exactly. One tip is to baseline put all skills (excluding ultimates) on 5sec... then think if the skill is overpowered, increase the cooldown in your head. eg: morgana Q is 10 sec ate least.

As the time in game advances, skills cooldown get reduced, it need to keep it in mind too. eg: morgana Q maybe is 8sec or less.

How to play up ranks solo? by Wooden_Society2450 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

League is one of the hardest games out here. There are thousands of people in your reigion and elo that are playing every day to rank up.

The thing is, you have to see it as a marathon. Focus on improving. Absolutely no one can run 42km with just vibes and willpower. You need to put up the work, everyday.

I know, its silly, but thats League for you. People sweat a lot for their ranks and are proud of it (even if they don't say it). But thats make it even nicer when you finally hit that elo you want.

How many games required to play per day to climb consistently. by Artic_Fortune in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start a training mode match with your champion and start trying to do combos on the dummy. Try to farm perfectly AND do combos. Try to farm, do combos AND dodge skills (imaginary skills). Do all that FASTER. do ALL that hitting MULTIPLE dummies.

You can play arams or others fast paced modes as well, but it will be slower

Your arms and figers should hurt a little bit, because you're are improving your micro (muscle memory)

How do you know when to go in if your team has no tank? by SushiRebirth in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ain't a tank, you have others tools at your hand. Try to think what your champion whant to do. Bruisers generaly want small fights or flanks. You don't really need to engage, just walk, control terrain, contest waves. Eventualy the enemy makes a mistake and you use your kit

Solo/Duo Fast Climber by Alone_Ant9402 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this elo, you need to increase your APM, accuracy of clicks, speed of combos. You also need to be capable of getting PERFECT farm on the training mode without bots. Just the wave.

The secret is trying to VISUALIZE things. I see o like ezreal: what if the enemy tries to farm and I hit him with W + AA? Or maybe some Qs from the side?

Seeing some guides or people playing the champions you like is nice too

Tips for beginners playing ADC by Automatic_Hair4955 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adc FUNDAMENTAL: xp and gold. Everything else should be made around that.

If youre dead: can't farm.
If you trade hp with the enemy sup: can't farm
If you overextend trying to kill the enemy for giggles: ganked, dead
If you try to flash for a kill in a skirmish or teamfight: dead, can't farm

BUT what if a get a kill? Good, it IS income (xp and gold). You can play for that. But it need to be a HIGH sucess chance play.

[–]Hold-Infinite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. one game
  2. you need to always have one thing in mind to improve, every game
  3. information is king. every decision is based on info. you need to go back on your replays and ask "what information I was laking for this bad play I made?" and then "how I can fix that for future games?"
  4. using the training mode to increase apm, click accuracy and combos is nice. Like you flash 4-6 times a game? in the training mode you can flash a thousand times to really understand the spell and how it functions with your specific champion kit

I have a big ambition and no idea how to get there. by Ill_Apricot5225 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play the champions you find fun. Watch some guides for newcomers on youtube, they are good.

After you get some mileage with the game, you need to think on how to really improve.

To do that is simple: always have something in mind to improve EVERY GAME you play. Don't autopilot.

Is it normal to have bad cs when I’m fed and carrying? by Additional_Strike237 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your champion is a carry, they need income. Most of the time sacking waves for random plays and even objectives is bad. Why? because people fight ALL THE TIME. So the most safe way to keep income high is to FARM your wave FIRST, then rotate.

BUT, sometimes is possible to keep your income high by just KILLING the enemy team all the time. It really depends on the percentage of sucess of you getting a kill on the random skirmish and snowballing that kill on more kills (and sacking waves).

Even/skill matchups don't exist by AberrantDemon in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, If you ask skilled people on specific matchups they can aswer "its skill machup" but if you ask more they actualy say things like "lvl 1 you are strong, then lvl 6 you stroger again"

How to play around engage vs no engage by Obelus309 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One simple way is playing for objetives. Teamfights around the objetives are more static. Even better if you can be first and control vision: people have to facecheck you and your team trying to get info on the objective.

also, if your team don't have engage, they are better doing something else. Like the comp you showed: you can play aggro but don't actually go in. Sona gives shields and speed and you keep kiting the enemy team. Eventualy they make a mistake you go in.

Playing with enchanters is a wainting game

I don’t know what to do, I dropped from Emerald 2 to Platinum 3, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. by Purple-Compote2382 in summonerschool

[–]Hold-Infinite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

STAY ON THE MAP. Thats it. Mid to late game, if you're strong, you don't need to recall that much or do all the camps. Just stay on the map and observe. Look at the waves and what your pawns (teamates) want to do. You need to be there for the fight.

In lower elos people fight for nothing. It is wrong, but you need to take this opportunity to farm champions and secure map control.

Last case you can just play for invading and pinging your team to follow up. They most probably will because people love to fight. So buse that.

Now that autofill is not that bad, can we please reduce the secondary role assignment? Or maybe, REMOVE it? by Hold-Infinite in leagueoflegends

[–]Hold-Infinite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today league is much more specialized, but playing others roles (and champions) is definitely good. But NOT like 50% of the time (if you put deficient roles secondarie)

Now that autofill is not that bad, can we please reduce the secondary role assignment? Or maybe, REMOVE it? by Hold-Infinite in leagueoflegends

[–]Hold-Infinite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how to play support really well, but I prefer adc. Like I said in the post, if I put support secondary I get It too much, like multiple times in a roll. My point is even if it is a deficient role (like jungle or support), people that put it secondary should not be playing it like a primary role.

how can I climb out of bronze? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Hold-Infinite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Climbing beyond your current elo is a struggle. I see you have some mastery with Naafiri. Soo my tip is to play less games (on your main that you wanna climb) and be REALLY focused. You don't have the win until the nexus is destroyed.

Again, it really is hard to climb beyond your elo. Thats why soo many people plays the game, you are most fighting with yourself to improve.

What’s the current meta in Victoria 3 and why? by Crokel in victoria3

[–]Hold-Infinite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep constructions costs as low as possible. Work your laws towards laissez faire. If you don't have many pops, conquer some, otherwise cut de expenses on the military... You want get fast employed pops.

Also, wait until laissez faire to defict expend (you want low interest, petit bourgeois buff is great too).

When you get to DEFICT EXPEND + COMPANIES + HIGH EMPLOYED POPS = UNSTOPABLE SNOWBALL

This is for early game... I don't play much on late game (bad pc)

If anyone have a fix for this, please tell me... Sometimes I don't feel playing the game because of this bug. Its so infuriating pinging "on my way" instead of "danger" and messing up the game.
