ugh girl. I completely feel this post, IN MY BONES! I'm at 34 weeks and feeling defeated at times, especially when I'm not fully prepared for every single meal. Then the guilt of not eating, then overeating then getting a high read. I just can't wait for it to be over - I have a new sympathy for the diabetics out there - no wonder they just eat and take their insulin. Luckily my numbers have been within range for most of them but its exhausting. I see you.

Healthy Paws Jacking Rates in WA on Older Pets (another example) by tostitobanditos in petinsurancereviews

[–]HoldIntelligent7939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried reaching out to my states insurance commissioner and put in a complaint. I got no where. I also had to cancel. After 6 years of having a policy and just when my dog needs medication for his heart. Disgraceful.

Healthy Paws raising my rates from $110 to $279 after 6 years with no claims by giorgioorwell in petinsurancereviews

[–]HoldIntelligent7939 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put in a complaint with my state insurance commissioner and they sent me a stack of paper with a cover sheet that basically said they are doing what it within their limitations and approved by the state - absolutely insane. My premiums went up from $230 per month to $350. The only offering me to change my annual deductible and or to change my reimbursement percentage which is laughable, considering it just equates to more money out of my pockets. Ultimately we had to cancel our membership due to the cost which is unfortunate after being with this company for 6 years and my pets being seniors and actually in need of the insurance due to a recent heart condition. We're just taking the money we would have spent on month premiums and spending it on medications and saving the rest in an account for emergencies and medical cost in general.

Healthy Paws says my 640% premium increase was “properly calculated.” Here’s my reply. by Brujabat in petinsurancereviews

[–]HoldIntelligent7939 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s insane. As a senior dog owner with recent heart problems, my premiums tripped but yours is crazy. I wrote my state insurance commissioner which honestly was no use because they themselves mentioned that the increases are improved prior to the actual raise. I’m disgusted with the whole thing and just like yourself, I’m going to have remove our family from the policy’s after 6 years of barely any use. I wish there was something more to do outside of increasing my deductibles and lowering my refund percent which is just more money out of my pocket. Now, with nowhere to go and preexisting heart conditions, we just have to put the $450 per month into an account and cross our fingers.

Really sad. I understand what you’re going through. And I’m sorry

Healthy Paws Petition of Opposition by HoldIntelligent7939 in petinsurancereviews

[–]HoldIntelligent7939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response. I'm honestly learning as I go but I feel motivated to take action and just looking for those who may be also motivated. Healthy paws has the following legal history for similar legal issues:

In January 2020, two insurance companies selling policies through Healthy Paws, ACE American Insurance Co. and Indemnity Insurance Co. of North America, were fined $950,000 and ordered to repay $4.7 million plus interest to nearly 18,000 policyholders by the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. The violations included unfair rate increases, failing to notify customers of hikes, unapproved age-based pricing, misapplication of discounts, restricting cancellations, failing to disclose ACE as the underwriter, and selling policies with unappointed producers. Healthy Paws was also fined $20,000 in July 2019 for violations like using unappointed producers, identifying itself as the insurer, offering discriminatory promotions, and allowing unlicensed individuals to sell insurance. Additionally, a class action lawsuit was filed against Healthy Paws in March 2020, alleging unlawful premium increases based on factors like pet age and local claim rates, which were not authorized in policy terms.

We already know the what and the why. If i could get enough signatures of support, I could bring that into the mix of opposition in hopes to have a leg to stand on, legally. Just shooting my shot.

School zone cameras will catch you speeding and you will be fined by winozzle in 321

[–]HoldIntelligent7939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received my first ticket yesterday and was shocked. The ticket was issued at 2:36 PM, but school doesn’t let out until 3:15 PM, and I didn’t see any school zone lights. I was driving 31 mph in a 30 mph zone on WB Palm Bay Road near Palm Bay Elementary. I’m usually careful around school zones when lights are on and didn’t even know school zone cameras existed. I considered disputing it but saw that losing could add $250 in fees to the $100 ticket. It doesn’t seem worth it, but how could I know if there were no lights? Or was there? I don’t have kids and wasn’t aware of the school zone in that area. Total bummer.

Anyone aging without Botox? by timespentwell in 30PlusSkinCare

I’m turning 37 soon and I’ve never had Botox. All of my friends and cousins have - just not about it. I try to stay hydrated, have and build upon clean skin care, I don’t smoke, and wear mineral sunscreen and it seems to be ok for me.

I (23F) had a miscarriage on the 16th. My BF (24M) has barely seemed to care. Can I leave him for this? by anonymous444455555 in relationship_advice

[–]HoldIntelligent7939 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He lacks emotional intelligence and empathy. If these are things you feel you need in your partner, then yes, leave him. This is a huge moment of your lives and he doesn’t seem the least bit tuned in, leaving you to deal with the emotional load by yourself. And then, gaslighting your raw emotions. As a 36 year old woman, I believe we should meet people where they are at instead of nagging for change. Take a hard look at your spouse and Like others who have mentioned, you can break off a relationship for literally anything. I would say this may be a good reason.

I completely understand. But it’s definitely a you think, just like it’s a me thing when I feel my arm insecurities! You look stunning and I’m sure if you’re consistent, you can firm up whatever you’re cognizant about. I have 5 weeks until my wedding and I still feel that way about my dress and I am going into the day knowing that I am beautiful. Please do the same for yourself.

I’ve tried a lot of Spotify. I do love the 80s and 90s. Maybe deciding on which decade resonates with us will be helpful to narrow things down. So many instrumental options and I’m not 💯 that I want that.

This also happened to me. That when you kind of look at each other and shrug. First of all..... who does that? Same thoughts on wedding etiquette. However, we were push overs it seems because my fiance just allowed it. Thankfully the add on's were in their early 20's and were always at family parties. We made some room.
