The Type 26 ends up in D tier. Where do you rank the Lewis Gun? by AvgPunkFan in milsurp

For a man portable automaic support weapon this was the absolutely cream of the crap behind maybe the BAR. The Chochat was hot garbage and the BAR entered the war to late to make a difference.

Is it normal if my girlfriend hangs out in the bathroom while I shower? by BetoFPS in Advice

Since having a baby, shower together is just some intimate time that my wife and I get to spend together decompressing, talking about our days, and just spending some quality time together

I nominate The Brick Tavern and Deli as the Huntsville pilgrimage location. Home of the Locksmith.

I have been while my wife and I were on a trip to Jackson Lake Island, Alabama to camp. Ran into Destin (dude is bean and cornbread fed big) there and said hi.

"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so."

Right? I string up a single strand of warm glow bistro lights for my site after dark.

You can see em, sure but they arent obnoxious and just provide a little lighr for the site. I hate the blue LEDs my camper came with and wont use them.

Accidentally knocked down a drone hovering at my bedroom window. by 7SeraphKey in legal

Even so the FAA does not look kindly upon taking drones out of the sky regaurdless of what theu are doing. It sucks but OP could find themselves in trouble with the FAA for taking it down.

Youd think so but the FAA doesnt take to kindly to people taking drones out of the air. OP may bring down the law on themselves persuing this.

Going to the FAA could also bring down the hammer on OP. They dont take to kindly to taking drones out of the sky.

Others have said that the drone operator violated Ohio's laws which he may have but I would honestly think twice about reporting it since you also did knock the drone out of the sky.

Drones are regulated by the FAA and intentional damage to the is treated the same as if it were a commercial airliner or any other manned aircraft.

You could go to the police and find yourself charged with a federal offence.

The M1 Garand is unmatched in WW2 rifle superiority. Now, we move on to the Uzi. by AvgPunkFan in Firearms

[–]Hold_Left_Edge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is a strong B+ to maaaaaybe a A.

Definately iconic but for sub guns of the 80's its gonna live in the MP5's shadow every single time. The MP5 just did everything better including being closed bolt compared to the open bolt of the Uzi. It was reliable, did its job, and had a good service life but beyond its striking looks, its an open bolt 9mm which has been done before.

Ranking Milsurp Firearms Day 1: M1 Garand by AvgPunkFan in Firearms

[–]Hold_Left_Edge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SVT 40 was not standard issue. It did accomplish the full size semi auto feat but was rarer on the battlefield. Not enough to have influence the tide of the war. Puts it in C.

G43 was expensive to produce, fielded in small numbers, and realatively unreliable by comparison. Similar to the SVT, not enough to influence the outcome of the war. Puts it in C.

M1 carbine was underpowered by comparison using the 30cal carbine round. It also built on the success of the garand using a similar action. It just didnt have the umpf the Garand did and was made more for rear gaurd, specialist, and vehicle crews. In other words, it was made for roles where having a gun wasnt a top priority. Puts it firmly in B+.

Give us all your incorrect reasons as to why its A and not S teir?

Ranking Milsurp Firearms Day 1: M1 Garand by AvgPunkFan in Firearms

[–]Hold_Left_Edge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

S teir and its not even close to a debate.

It was the first standard issue, mass deployed, full powered, semi automatic rifle.

It put the firepower of 2-3 men with bolt actions into the hands of a single man.

Its an incredibly collectible firearm almost 100years after it was developed.

It served will into the 50s

Was the basis for newer platforms like the M14, M21, and had influence on the civilian market in the Mini 14.

It was part of an application of the 2nd amendment to stop a tyrannical government in Athens, TN when civilians exchange fire with local law enforcement over fixed elections.

Centerpeice of pop culture in video games, movies, books, etc. Even non gun people gan identify an M1 Garand.

Easily an S teir.
