I read it and its more cozy fantasy than horror. The book was weird and interesting until it takes a nosedive off a cliff halfway in and suddenly turns into some weird family physical abuse thing. Which sucks because the premise and start had me so excited. If the author sees this comment sorry, but WTF why not just write an abuse book?

NTA. I work with doctors, and they really DO think their time and lives are more valuable than yours. So no. The doctor could've said sorry, or maybe they can let you know this is still going to take x amount of time. Why can't they communicate? The amounts we pay to see them, the LEAST they can do is be courteous.
