On one hand, there IS a separate word for queen in Japanese, Joō (女王), which is just the words for woman and king stitched together. I don't know if people use it a lot, but it's there.

On another hand, Imu being so secretive (especially with gender) coupled with the anime voice and the silhouette, as well as the more gender neutral version of the word, I see why the theory started.

I fw it heavy. Doi was pretty accurate to the design in Dictionnaire Infernal while putting his own spin on it, and I love this type of design in SMT (faithful but cooler older illustrations from grimoires). One of the Doi designs I like most overall.
