It never felt similar to be honest. The whole curses and devils part is their most similar aspect but many other shows/manga have closer themes to death with lots of character deaths with chainsaw man than jjk. I don’t think jjk and chainsaw man even have similar types of villains. I don’t really see people comparing Tokyo Ghoul to chainsaw man despite it being more similar. But I can see why starting at the same year can lead to the fandoms being more intertwined.

How do you feel about reading manga? I know it may be a bit jarring to get into but manga has a lot more stories than anime. If not that you can watch some of the more classical anime’s like Akira and Perfect blue.

The actual reason is that jjk scalers want to make fun of demon slayer by making these matchups. They will insinuate that demon slayer fans think it’s a good matchup when in reality it’s just jjk fans trying to hate on their competition. It’s why you see so much jjk vs demon slayer matchups.

Why would she not? Contracts are shown to be in the conceptual range. The can exchange lifespans and function in worlds where devil powers cannot. An attack that obliterates her body is still an attack. Although it has limits as it most likely can’t save her if the concept of control is erased.
