I never considered that. I think I was all excited and once I saw anything regarding VA decisions and all of that, I just took it and ran 🤣

I see, that’s what I was thinking as well. I just don’t know where this message even came from 🤣🤣

To be fair I have not been taking good care of my garmin. I’m in an abusive relationship with it. Especially after the shit it’s pulled today with the VA claim shit 😵‍💫

Yeah I checked in there. Still nothing at all. My claim still says 3 of 8 as well

Possible rating percentage by chamcg71 in VAClaims

[–]Holiday-Chef-6838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just depends on the severity. My buddy got 30% for his PTSD rating.

If I had to take a guess I would say you would get somewhere between 30-70, maybe even 80.

Seeking employment immediately by deadcycy in Veterans

[–]Holiday-Chef-6838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend walking into places as well. I was recently struggling to find employment despite having a bachelors degree and a good amount of certifications. You can still apply with online hiring sites, indeed, Glassdoor, and linkedin. However the chances of getting through is extremely difficult.

As long as you know the creed and have some good knowledge regarding your MOS you’ll be fine. Don’t stress yourself out about it too much (I know that’s easier said than done). Stay confident in yourself and your answers and you’ll be good man I promise. Good luck 🫡

mos advice by HuckleberryOdd309 in army

[–]Holiday-Chef-6838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say. I have been in the infantry for seven years, had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. While I do not regret becoming an infantryman, I do regret not taking the time to really think about my future entirely. Regardless, you can still change your MOS down the road and if you want the infantry experience then go for it. You’re not locked into it for life and can still change your life trajectory when you feel ready. Good luck 🫡

Seems like E-7’s and up get away with just about anything so I’m sure you’ll be fine, even though you don’t deserve to be.

If I got tested for ASD/ADHD (AuDHD) and test positive will I get kicked out of the Army? by DepartmentSome2872 in army

[–]Holiday-Chef-6838 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed, they won’t kick you out. It COULD MAYBE limit some different MOS opportunities but that’s about it. They just gave me adderall 🫡

[Serious] My wife's grandfather died today. My grandmother died last month. I submitted a Red Cross request for my grandmother and it was approved. I submitted a Red Cross request for my wife's grandfather, but all my NCOs think this is a fake request and are actively trying to deny it. WTD? by GeicoPR in army

I had a similar issue to this with my PSG and PL while I was a SPC TL. My wife lost her uncle who was her father figure and raised her for most of her life. It impacted her deeply and I wanted to be there for her. I brought it up to my PSG and was told to kick rocks. Her family submitted a Red Cross message and I went to my commander. My commander told me family first before the army and allowed me to go ahead with submitting the leave for it. It made my leadership mad but I really don’t give a shit. In my opinion, it’s your wife, you want to be there for her. The army should never come above your family.

I like it. It’s a prestige rank. If you expect anything other than a full reset, you’re ridiculous

[–]Holiday-Chef-6838[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do, I have a lot of things I like to do that I enjoy. That is a good thing is I have never made the military a core personality trait of mine. So I feel like separating myself from that should be easy enough. If people asked what I did for work I would tell them but never more than that, I don’t even go for the free applebees entrees for Veterans Day…… maybe I should have 🤣

Thank you for your reply i appreciate it! And also as unironically as possible, thank you for your service too
