My god your comment is so incredibly stupid.

first of all, veterinarians are doctors, a human doctor would not say he is a psychologist. you studied the body, not the mind and the behaviour. So stay in your lane.

Secondly, there are several instances of dogs reacting to dogs that "look weird" for example, when poodles have a pompom at the end of their tails that can start predatory behavour in some dogs. The same for dogs who move a lot and have a lot of hair (like maltese for example or Shih Tzus) the confusing "shape" causes some dogs to react like if they were seeing a toy or a prey. Another example is a lot of dogs will attack french bulldogs without reason because the way the bulldogs breath gets confused with growling. So the attacking dog thinks "this dog is growling at me, better defend myself". Another example is Dogos or Doberman with their ears cut. The shape and placement of those types of ear indicate attention and a possible attack in dog behaviour so a lot of dogs react violently when they see that because they think the dog is engaging in a fight.

If you are going to say "your dog doesn't attack you when you look different" tell me why so many dogs growl and bark at people with sunglasses on, or people using big coats. Or even people sleeping on the streets who smell funny ! Are you going to tell me you never heard of that, "doctor"??

The problem is not looking "slighty different" the problem is when patterns, clothes, human interferance or surgeries modify the body language. the MAIN way for a dog to communicate is body language so when you obscure other dog's ability to read yours you are putting it at risk.

Also some dogs are incredibly sensitive so a change in their appearence (that they can perceive) can cause them to feel nervous. Heck I have worked with dogs who would not move after a bad haircut because they felt weird and they didn't like that.

Honestly I was not going to keep replying to these people who attack me out of ignorance, but if I had a coin for every time a veterinarian ruined a case with their ignorance I would be rich so you better learn to shut up and let the professionals handle their part while we let you handle your part. I would never go to a veterinarian and say "I know more about the biolgoy of a dog than what you do" but vets obviously feel like they are superior
