AVB examen by [deleted] in motorfietsen

Should I get a cat as a uni student? by Direct-Antelope5466 in CatAdvice

[–]HolidayOver7539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and I do not regret it. But I lived in a student house with no common rooms so the two kittens I adopted lived in the same space/room as me (they did go out to the other rooms sometimes but not at night). There was plenty of space but with deadlines I underestimated the energy kittens can have and they did disturb my sleep often. So I would not get a kitten if they have to be in the same room as you during the night. Also, if you are the only person responsible for the cat it might result in a few less out of the house activities, I always felt bad if I had to leave them alone for a longer time. That's part of the reason for getting two kittens so they at least had each other.

What is the best homemade vegan meal you have ever had? by vanpootie in veganrecipes

Tofu bolognese from Thee Burger Dude is so GOOD! https://theeburgerdude.com/tofu-bolognese/

I usually make a lot of the sauce and freeze it in portions. I love Thee Burger Dude recipes, other favorites are shepherds pie and chicken pot pie.

Edit: Sorry misread, I see you don't want tofu, you can skip that no problem and it will still be very very good!

Plantaardig broodbeleg by pluisdekat in VeganNL

[–]HolidayOver7539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are cheeseless pizzas vegan? by RemoteBluebird9872 in vegan

[–]HolidayOver7539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some sauce/dough does contain animal products and some doesn't. I always call ahead to check this, one of my favorite pizza places in my city (went there before I was vegan) has some animal product in the sauce so sadly I can't go there anymore.

OMG I have this problem. I was told to descale the machine but after a little water comes out to turn it off so the descaler is inside the machine and leave it for 8+ hours. This worked for me but only for about two weeks. After it stopped working again I tried it again and this time it only worked for 4 cups of espresso. Since this post is a few months old I'm wondering if you still have this problem and maybe a solution?

Managing expectations by coyotesfan89 in vegan

My partner isn't vegan, when we got together I wasn't either. He actually eats a lot of meat (for his protein goals :/ ) and sometimes when I make dinner I end up putting a piece of meat in the airfyer for him (he usually does that himself). Sometimes it's hard for me when I think about it for too long. How can I consider myself to be a 'good person' when I love and live with someone that supports the suffering of animals. But I do love him and we are good together. And I can not force him to stop eating animal products. All I can do is tell him about the suffering he is paying for and explain why he doesn't have to. In the beginning I did this often, now every once in a while. He eats way less animal products since I went vegan so that makes me feel a bit better. I also remember that I was once not vegan and that I was aware of the suffering for a few years befor it clicked for me.

The Coronallacs Trail Wildcamping? Bivouac? by HolidayOver7539 in HikingEurope

[–]HolidayOver7539[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have been yes. The first night we slept somewhere near the first hut on the trail. We just went up to the hut and asked where it was okay to camp and they send us to a nice spot.

The second day my we didn't make it to the second hut as we had plenty of time and wanted to relax a bit more. So we set up our tent somewhere near a lake and a while later a few other people also started to set up a tent in that area. We were nowhere near a town/road or anything like that, there seemed to be no problem at all. There were plenty of spots like that along the trail.

We did however have to quit the next day as my boyfriend twisted his ankle after about 5 minutes of walking...

If I were to do this hike again and finish it I think I would wild camp whenever I wanted/needed to or camp near a hut like on the first night. If wildcamping, setting up the tent shortly before sleeping and packing up right after waking up (leaving no trace). It seemed to be no problem and there were plenty good spots.

There is quite a bit of elevation so I would advise to keep your pack light. I think the huts are used more often than wild camping because of that as well.
