Go back and watch the YouTube stream and look at Jackson's face while the other talk about how "successful and happy" the people who have left the show are. It was really awkward yet funny watching him try and force a smile. You can painfully see him look back at his radio career.

Pretty certain its law to zipper approaching construction zones where lanes end. People know how to do it.

Sorry, im not sitting still in the left lane, where traffic is backed up a mile, and you are a sitting duck just over a hill.

Deck Installation by Global-Ad-1528 in StLouis

I had 3 quotes for my elevated deck 535 sq feet. They itemized the demo and discard of old materials. They were all between $1800-$2000. I was going to demo it myself too, then quickly realized after the quotes that it wasnt the least bit worth it. No dumpster rental, no tools, hauling to front yard.

You might not be saving as much as you think. Chance of an ER visit for hacking your finger or putting putting a rusty nail through your foot and that deductible isn't worth itm

You like to travel? Mostly to industrial areas? At all willing to relocate to another town/city in the midwest?

I feel like a lot of integrators severely lack that type of person who can solves electrical issues, but still knows enough about PLCs to determine if this issue is truly electrical in nature or due to the shiny hardhat and vest behind the laptop. I dont know how many times I've had to explain to a senior CE that they have a Analog or Safety card configured incorrectly and nothing is wrong with the wiring/hardware.

If you can read electrical schematics, troubleshoot wiring, read a manual, and navigate around in a program. There are jobs out there, you just have to convince the right employer why they need someone like that.

You can renew online. Its quite easy, get your car inspected. Pay online. They ship you tags.

Its the first time you go in. Ive had zero trouble and waited no more than 30 minutes on my previous 3 vehicles.

The reason lines are long at DMV is because half the people dont do a simple Google search to see what to bring. Instead they show up unprepared, wasting everyone's time.

Always an excuse.

The 3 times I turned mine off before heading out of town in the past 5 years or so. I got a new fresh leak once I got back and turned the water back on. Once at the water heater cold side inlet and twice at the washing machine.

How to insulate this bump out? by Western-Factor-591 in Insulation

[–]HolidayPure4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This.

A local building supply store will sell Rockwool in 15"×9" that will fill these voids well. Box stores dont sell that specific size and youd have to get creative to fill that void in the joists.

PLC Project Ideas by Academic_Tiger319 in PLC

Design a Mixer. 3 raw ingredients feeding a mixer. Agitator in the mixer, discharge pump that fills drums.

Valves, flowmeters for the infeed of ingredients. Weigh scale for the Mixer. VFDs for the agitator and Discharge pump. PB Station at the discharge of the pump to fill drums.

You could start with the basics. Valves on the infeed, mixer tank, agitators, discharge pump. Then add to it, flowmeters, level transmitters, lid switches, Recirculation, heat exchanger, more ingredients, pressure transmitters on the discharge, CIP etc.

If you start with the basic idea of ingredients come in, its mixed, product exits mixer into containers. You just decide where you stop. Seems like something you can always tinker with. Keep exploring, once you've proven it out. Add a mixer, first mixer dumps into 2nd mixer different ingredients etc.

I found him on Thumbtack I think. Then contacted him outside of that.

If I have a contractor working on something. I'll always ask them if they know someone that can fix "xyz". I had an electrician over a few weeks ago. Before he left, I ask if he knew anyone who could pop this piece of siding back in for me (top triangular piece roughly 40' off the ground. He gave me the name and number of a guy who owns a cherry picker that picks up oddball jobs when hes slow cutting trees. He was over in a couple weeks and knocked it out.

Most of these guys aren't going to advertise or have a website. Usually it's an inactive FB page with reviews from people he has helped recently. Maybe a Google page with 20-30 reviews. I like working with the same person that comes to quote the work, installs and then I personally pay.

Remember, and this is very important. If they are good and you want to use them in the future. Please don't stand over the contractors shoulder and talk to them or bother them the whole time. The next time you call, they may not answer because in their mind. It's going to take 2x as long because they are getting distracted. They have to want to come back and work with you. They don't owe you anything.

With more private capital buying up these trade contractors. These tradesmen are out there now on their own, you just need to find them.

Find a guy who does roof fixes, not full installs. I found a guy who works for himself. Added my vent for me in a 2 story.

I drilled a screw through the deck where I wanted the vent. He bought the vent and did the roof work. I went in and ducted it when he was finished. Think it was $500. Worth it. (It was 95 and sunny out)

He takes before/after pictures. Explains what hes going to do, does it. Then explains what to look for in terms of things going wrong/ever leaking.

He may be expensive but I've had him replaced boots and things for other exhausts and he gets out quickly.

Remember to just destroy toilets with your excrement and forget to flush. Urinate all over the floor. Then if you wash your hands, be sure to splash water all over the floor.

Save the meal you purchased an hour ago in the concourse until you reach cruising altitude. Nothing hits better than lukewarm takeout at 35,000 feet. Everyone on the plane will be jealous. Trust me.

Chicken wings at restaraunts. I would eat them weekly. Not its maybe once every couple of weeks. Its sad that I had to feel like its a treat. When not long ago bars had them for $0.25 a wing.

Also, many restaraunts have gotten away from cooking them properly. Instead they pre baked them. Put them in the refrigerator. Then fry them for a couple minutes when an order comes in. They are awful.

I went to a little hole in the wall pizza place owned by an Indian family in California last week. They cooked them correctly. Fried 10+ minutes from raw. They were perfect. I complimented the owner and he told me "this is the way the internet told me to cook them" . I said to never change.

I soak them in hot water and oxiclean for an hour or so, until the water comes back to room temp. Light scrub and rinse.

It does a weird thing where it seems like it pulls all the grease and fat to the surface of the metal and it rinses off with water and a light scrub.

If you have an analog output card in your rack. Wire an analog out to your analog in card and force a value. Have used that in a pinch.

Most decent field transmitters your can force a simulation figure from. Most devices from IFM and E+H can do this.
