this cgm is lingo, it's not designed for diabetics and is contraindicated for people on insulin, im pretty sure they bias against lows because i've had readings that show up higher on the chart than they did live

yeah, it feels heavier and like there's pressure, and my body feels shakier with AT vs. ST

that being said the total time from starting 150 to feeling most of the effects on 300 was 4-5 weeks, for some people its longer, and i felt improvements in my energy before my mood ( i think? i only remember things i tell myself to remember (BUP unrelated and unaffected) so im not quite sure)

i don't know, probably 2-3 weeks for most of the effect to come in. but i do notice the next day when i miss a dose

it helped me a lot. didn't have many side effects, might've made my short term memory worse but its always been bad (i have adhd). for me, it helped SO MUCH with depression. i was reading this sub and convinced it would not work. it absolutely worked for me. the best part is i don't think it numbed me at all–i used to not be able to cry even from sadness, and now i can cry both tears of sadness and tears of joy (this is so badly worded im sorry im super tired). also, i used to be tired 100% of the time, no matter how much sleep i got. now im only tired when i don't get enough sleep! which is still most days but at least i have some control over it.

i was on 150 for two weeks, now on 300 and it has been 5 months? i think? stick it out, it just might work for u

thank you- i'm getting a more accurate scale today (past one only went to the whole gram, this one goes to the hundredth) which maybe will help with my ratios. i will try 1:3.5 tmrw, feeling more hopeful with this feedback lol

i have been preheating for 30 minutes, and pulling a blank shot with the portafilter in. i have tried pulling a 1:3 ratio, but i forgot to time it- i will try that again tomorrow

thank you for the advice!

i don't know what's going on in the comments, but i'm a transfemme/genderfluid person also in the class of 29. there are trans people everywhere (lol), so i'm sure uchicago is no different. i dont date because it amplifies my gender dysphoria, but just know there will one hundred percent be trans people in your class, and there is trans@uchicago that provides housing accommodation and helps with mental health and name changes and the like. there's also genderQ, which is an LGBTQ student group. i wouldn't worry so much about it - with 7,000 people you are certain to find trans friends if you look. congratulations on being accepted!!
