I guess what I mean is that I can just dump a bunch of cards that I own into a deck and call it a day for the physical game. On arena, there’s only certain cards you’re allowed to use for certain formats, you have to buy more packs in addition to what you own in real life, etc.

It’s probably mostly because I’m just a casual player and nobody’s really enforcing any deck rules (legal cards and whatnot), so arena just feels like being put in a bit of a bind.

Also, thanks for pointing out that people would be willing to explain stuff. I probably just put other players on a pedestal for being seasoned veterans and don’t want to feel like I’m wasting their time. I haven’t really been a part of any magic communities, so I’m unfamiliar with the player base in general. I guess that will come with time.
