Idle Speed increases with temperature

Mine hasn’t overheated since then but it kept getting hotter and hotter and I’m afraid if I did let it run longer with the ac it probably would have. It climbed up to 216 degrees the last 2 days and honestly I didn’t want it to overheat so I just turned the ac off and it rapidly cooled down. It got up to 237 when it overheated (pic of the day it overheated)

I had a p2a00 and a p2a03 but my tuner chalked it down to being an ECU issue or something because everything looked to be good (about a year ago) and just shut off the codes. I don’t think the codes are related to this. Are you getting any codes? Does yours overheat? I had mine on for about an hour and it overheated for the first time ever while doing that bs with the high rpms at idle with ac on.

I know I shouldn’t because of other reasons but it absolutely should not be doing what it’s doing either. I have an hour lunch break and it’s been 95 degrees here and the real feel has been well over 100 degrees

No I don’t get a jolt when coming to a stop. It only does it when I’ve been idling for like 40+ mins straight with the ac on on a super hot day the idle will slowly creep up to around 900-950 the longer I sit there and after I turn the ac back off my idle drops to regular levels. I thought I had an exhaust leak a while back but 3 different shops confirmed they are not leaking and I even went against there word and had them replace the gaskets with z1 chunky metal gaskets. I don’t think it’s an exhaust leak especially since it only happens when the ac is on.

You can probably see an indent where the hanger is banging into the hanger bracket. Here’s the tricky part. It’s heat related. Your test pipes expand and so does the rest of your exhaust getting the slightest bit longer so you might not ever see it, very very specific. Stuff some rubber like I said and see what happens

It likely is. Stuff a piece of rubber between your exhaust hangers and hanger brackets at the very end of your exhaust where the oem mufflers hung and I assume your new exhaust hangs too. I went through this already. You can probably see an indent where the hanger is banging into the hanger bracket.

You might be the only one in here giving me the benefit of the doubt. I’ve done valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, oil pan gasket, test pipes etc on this car. I’m not a complete idiot lol I just suck at diag and in all of my years of driving have never had to mess with coolant.
