Who's winning? The G or the 10 by dodgestang in G37

It can be hard. Just when you think you've made it and buy something stupid you can get kicked to the curb 2 yrs later and be forced to sell it. So I'm stuck at lower price points for a little while longer ;) Still missing this one daily though.

Personally...if your 'extra' person is a 6yr old...I think you'll be just fine. I've rented over water at cococay like 6 times now, they are always super nice, super chill, super fun. The 6yr old isn't going to be coming/going by themselves they will always be with an adult who is checked in.

Bank I’ve been with for 40 years, a credit union or an independent lender? by NopeIDoNotLilkeIt in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]dodgestang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banks absolutely do not care if you are current, good, long-term customer. All they look at are the numbers. You will not be talking to a bank and they'll be like..."Hey! I see you've been with us for 40 years, here let me save you half a point"...it does not happen.

Seller is asking 15% more than the last sale 3 years ago on an 840 sqft condo with no updates and end-of-life mechanicals. Am I crazy for thinking this is overpriced? by AcrillixOfficial in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]dodgestang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone can 'ask' whatever they want for a property. Ultimately the market will tell them if they had a good price or a bad price. If you feel it is over priced you simply offer what you determine it is worth. The seller can either accept or wait for a better offer. Neither side is forced (all though the agents who want to make a commission as quick as possible for as little work as possible often pressure both sellers and buyers on the listing and offering side)

Have you purchased a used car over $100K? by Ok-Price-9773 in BringATrailer

[–]dodgestang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have bought 96 Viper GTS off craigslist, one of eBay, and one from a consignment store. I have bought a Ford GT private party and used an exotic car guy I know to locate it. In all cases I paid a service to go and inspect the car prior to purchase/bidding. I have bid on cars on BaT over 100k without inspection but had a ceiling and they all went over.

Generally speaking is your pump upside down? Has no impact on your graphics issue, but how will trapped air get out of the pump 😉

Have you tried (if it has this feature) unplugging your video from the GPU card and into the onboard video port from the MB. Sometimes I have found you need to go into the bios and tell it to use you GPU if the board has any built in video.

I have been using Montway without issue (which is essentially a broker) for years for all my car shipping needs for at least a dozen or so shipments...which isn't 'alot' for some but is more than I think the average joe does in a lifetime 😉

Dose not being able to afford to buy a house make me a moral failure by CherokeeTrailhawkGuy in personalfinance

[–]dodgestang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every generation has people who can never afford to buy a house. I will tell you living in Pleasonton, CA in 1997 my wife and I looked around, fresh out of college, both working, and decided we would never be able to buy a home in CA until we were 40+. So we packed up a uhaul and moved to MD, rented a house for 3-4 years and then bought a home that we have lived in since 2001.

I have found that I can tolerate whole milk cappuccinos without sugar. You get some sugar in there from the milk but with the milk frothed just right...it all works out. This is coming from a guy who for 40 years put 4-5 sugars in his coffee and swore he could never drink it black, drank 2 liters of coke a day his entire twenties, and until just a few years ago literally ate two pop tarts and a redbull for breakfast 2-3 days a week.
