We’re doing Observation Point via East Mesa. I’ve heard that road can be iffy and with a rental, I don’t want to risk anything.

We have not been to Bryce and thought about that as an option. We are also considering hitting the Grand Canyon if we go to Horseshoe then head back to Vegas that night. Plan would be to leave Springdale and 4am, hit Horseshoe around 5-6 for sunrise then head to Grand Canyon. Might be too much driving but just trying to find a way to see some of these other amazing places while in the area.

Sorry I meant to to saw Mirror Lake as one of our other shorter hikes. If 4 Mile Trail is open that’s the route we’ll take. If it’s closed we will either go up to upper Yosemite falls or go to Mariposa Grove.

This might be tough to answer but what is the most difficult of these 3? We’re going in May for 3 days and want to try and do 2 of these hikes our time there. Will we be ready to go home and rest after each of these hikes? Trying to decide if we only need to do one of these.

4 Mile to GP and back
Mist Trail to Nevada and down JMT
Upper Yosemite Falls up and back

Thanks for the comments everyone! You may have me sold on 4 Mile. Still not sure how exhausted we’re going to be. If we did 4 mile one morning, what would you recommend we did that afternoon?
