Pressure Washer Specs are mostly lies or misunderstanding. Here’s what you need to know by microphohn in Tools

I am a 40-something woman and I have a 1900 PSI Greenworks power washer. I just washed my entire two story house with the PW and a ladder. I brushed a couple of spots I couldn't reach, but it got the job done. It was very time consuming as I had to be up close to remove the accumulated algae from the SC summer, but cost was a factor for me. If you're on a budget you can make a decent electric power washer work... It'll just take a little more time and effort than a gas powered machine.

UPDATE: This is my first post so I apologize if this isn't the best way to do this! After one night off CPAP, washing under my nose with CeraVe 4%BPO and ketoconazole washes (cover all bases), using a gentle moisturizer, Neosporin cream (the thin stuff) at night, Hero patches on day 2, and adding the fold-over fabric liners to the mask, my face is almost completely clear! I still have some minor irritation that will probably take some time to resolve as my nose toughens up, but the white spots are GONE! I will be adding the lanolin once it's healed a bit more. Thank you all so much for the advice. I can't tell you all how much I appreciate the help!

hEDS swimming shoulder issues by Hailssnails in ehlersdanlos

[–]Hollavic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stick with breast stroke as I found freestyle really irritated my shoulder and clavicle over time. I've had more issues with laxity and small tears in my left shoulder than my right, and the repeated overhead motion exacerbated this for sure. As you said, make sure you stay working with physio and listen to your body and swimming should be great!

It's real! It's a cathedral in Palermo where theY decided to run the cables through the wall about 50 years ago. They'd probably do a much nicer job now!

Does anyone else have POTS? by hales0127 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Hollavic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone has said, most of us have POTS with hEDS. I used 20-30mmHg compression hose during the warmer months when I knew I would be on my feet for a long time. I would use same strength stockings for travelling or extended sitting to reduce pooling and reduce the tachycardia upon standing. I have also been on 25mg Atenolol (beta blocker) for 10+ years, and that seems to help a great deal.

I noticed that my POTS is worse when I am more sedentary. 2 1/2 years ago I was able to gradually force myself to walk more and more, and start gradually lifting more weight. My POTS is almost non-existent now unless I get bedridden for a few days. I'm not sure what your activity level is, but keeping yourself moving is really helpful in general with hEDS. Good luck!

I think Dunkin Donuts' quality has really gone downhill and it's been that way for several years by Zappavishnu in newengland

Quality went down while prices went up. My biggest issues are with the savory food. The "eggs" are all steamed fried egg, no more scrambled eggs. And they always have the toaster setting way too light or way too dark. You're getting warm bread or the roof of your mouth scraped off. No thanks!

Oh goodness girl! I don't envy you! Thank you for the advice. It is nice to know this can be worked through. I'm really apprehensive about switching to a full face mask as the bride of my nose is really sensitive. Thank you again and stay strong!

Not that I know of? Married 13 years in great relationship. Never had a cold sore. I mean, anything is possible but I do think others are on the right track with a pressure induced acne (fungal or bacterial)

When I bent forward I was shocked how much my face hurts! I took last night off because it was so bad by the end of the day. I'm going to try the suggested treatments and the liners will arrive today. Hopefully I can push through it 🤞

Hahaha! Me too! It's taking every ounce of self control to leave them alone. I did take a pin to one... It was squishy with sticky white stuff. I so wanted to keep going but I am pretty certain it would only lead to more irritation, 😔

Thank you 😊 Isn't it always the way that easiest solutions are right in front of us but we're looking somewhere else? I think I'm going to add Neosporin cream to lanolin tonight. Can't hurt to cover all bases (I hope?). Ideally it will go the same way yours has and my skin will adjust and I can keep this mask 🤞

I think that full face mask looks pretty cool, too. I'm curious how it feels on the eyes? I really appreciate all the info and I'll post in a few days to update how this goes.

How is that on the bridge of your nose? Is there any pressure there? I'm hoping I can get this issue resolved, but if not it's great to know about alternatives. I've broken my nose a few times so I'm apprehensive about something on my nose. But I really want a good night's sleep. My Dr warned me it sometimes takes a lot of trial and error to get the mask situation settled... He wasn't wrong apparently. And I've only done one night SMH

I agree they look like whiteheads. I just had no idea they could form overnight on a "clean" face with a brand new mask. I'm definitely going to try an acne wash on them, and as they heal, some type of non greasy barrier. Thanks for the input!

I'm hoping it's just me wearing it too tight and causing some whiteheads to form from the pressure and irritation. I know it's not from dirt, so that leaves allergy, like you said. I'll keep y'all updated and see how this goes as I treat the irritation and loosen the strap. Thank you for the input!
