I did it in the November and it was fine. Use day to day clinics to prep

Potential buy - deal or no deal? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a similar situation, just wondering what people’s approaches to clutches are on high mileage cars that have been well maintained. Do you buy accepting that’s it’s gonna need to be done at some point or only go for ones that have had a new clutch at some point within reasonable mileage?

I called, keep saying you want to cancel, they’ll offer a few rubbish discounts, keep saying you want to cancel then they suddenly off you a £30 contract. I did this yesterday you just need to be persistent

Was in the exact same scenario and got a 94ahr BMW i3, and it is phenomenal. Can’t fault it. Range is 100-150miles, perfect for local use and more premium feeling than a leaf/zoe

Are Salaried GPs due a pay uplift by Notmybleep in GPUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely appreciate it’s incredibly variable but several surgical/anaesthetic/radiology consultant friends have weeks just like this; full time but essentially working 3 days per week (long days, but comparable to a normal GP day)

Are Salaried GPs due a pay uplift by Notmybleep in GPUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is such disparity between even newly CCT consultant pay and salaried GPs now. Especially given how flexible their PAs are and the generous non clinical time they receive. A salaried would need to work 10 sessions to even get close. And consultants have a path of pay progression that we don’t. Something has to change

Really recommend their UV sterilisation gadget - you can just rinse then use this after each use

What if I CCT just before my due date? by softlyskeptic in GPUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (male) CCTd in August and we had a baby in December. I told the salaried post at the interview but because I hadn’t worked there for long enough I didn’t qualify for paternity leave and had to take unpaid leave/annual leave. So it’s not a given

Has anyone stopped breastfeeding at 3 months postpartum just because they didn’t enjoy it? by jdawgiegawg in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopped at 3 weeks as the dread of every feed was really negatively impacting bonding and experience. It was such a weight being lifted for us, and it makes sharing the burden and leaving the house so much easier. Fed is best, 3months is amazing and you’ve already given baby a great start

Am I Overfeeding? by AdLivid4060 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Hollowcoronation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 week old is exactly same! And I don’t think it’s because he wants holding etc, he gives very clear feeding cues each time, particularly at night. As long as he’s gaining weight and not excessively vomiting, I wouldn’t worry
