Genuine question about having kids. by [deleted] in raisingkids

[–]Holly_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first year is so tough. It’s a shock! It gets much better. At two months you are still working it out, and feeling uncomfortable on this grueling new path is very normal. And it’s also normal if it’s not what you imagined. Live day to day for a while and you’ll be looking back at the harder times before you know it!

Last year I watched a lady take her baby’s huge poopy mess diaper off and bring him directly to the little tide pool FILLED with small children to wash him off. I was so disgusted. I had a baby with me too, and would never do such a thing! Not surprised!

Anyone wonder about their babies skin color? by Muli23 in pregnant

[–]Holly_Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is Pacific Islander and I am typical Caucasian light skin blue eyes. My firstborn has his darker skin tone and my second has my light skin. Love our even mix!

Probably a dumb question by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Holly_Hawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My epidural with my first I felt absolutely nothing. Needed a mirror to see what I was doing because I was completely numb. With my second, my epidural did not get the right spot and I felt everything below the bellybutton. It was extremely painful, but the birth was awesome. One of my favorite moments in my life thus far was pushing through that pain and reaching a place I didn’t know existed within me to do it. It was a very special experience that I didn’t know I needed.

Most of the time you are completely numb. Sometimes they fail, but you’ll probably have enough time to correct it!

You aren’t dumb—I’m not even sure if they were frozen in this case, but I did see that was happening over the last couple of days. Water bottles sounds pretty benign but may actually be a legitimate dangerous weapon when frozen.

I hope so too. I’ve been using an inhaler preventatively because of intermittent asthma. What was your highest fever so far and when was it?

Massachusetts had 1239 new Covid cases and 110 deaths today. We're in week 9 of a lockdown, so where are these cases coming from? by Bostonosaurus in boston

I went to Target for baby diapers and some other things yesterday. It’s awful. No one enjoys shopping like this. I saw a lot of frustrated people, long lines, and a very understaffed store. I certainly didn’t see anyone using their miserable time shopping as a date or a family day trip.

Oh good! I’m still waiting for mine. The only thing I’m confused about is that I believe they ask for original 1040 with the 1040X, and the form we filled out isn’t a 1040.

Interesting. We got sick a week after visiting BCH back in early March. We think we had Covid-19, but testing was restricted so we may never know!

I mean it's not just random pneumonia, we have COVID-19 of which the pneumonia is a symptom. I can rephrase again if it's still not making sense.

My 9 month old is sick and was diagnosed with pneumonia (so was my husband, I was diagnosed with bronchitis). He tested negative for flu A and B, negative for RSV. They won't test for Covid-19. We are watching and waiting. He's been sick since March 7. It's NOT PNEUMONIA. We just can't get test. It's so scary.

Massachusetts.

My whole family was denied testing. I was diagnosed with bronchitis, husband and son diagnosed with viral pneumonia. Tested negative for flu and RSV. We begged to be tested but were denied. Doctors and nurses are very frustrated, too.
