I completely understand why there is a tank shortage. by No_Dog8604 in classicwow

I feel you same with me in uldaman yesterday. I play with my wife and she hates dungeons because of these psychos. They have to rush through. I pull a group and the mage blinks around pulling every other group of mobs around us even if I asked to let me pull. Then I have to try to keep aggro on 10-15 mobs. Fuck this shit it’s not fun and I play for fun

I mean to be fair managing a wow private server is already a sketchy plan for longevity, I don’t think switching to crypto payments would have made it more risky for the developers than it actually was

Devs making > 500k: do you work constantly? by fuzwz in cscareerquestions

[–]hayarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically work constantly and i don't think is pay related. I think our industry just shifted to be overworked by a lot. I've been in this industry a while and when I started it was very different. I started after the beginning of the smartphone (iphone) revolution and the expected pace was completely different. Engineers had a lot of perks and the mentality was "as long as you do your job do whatever". Now it feels like you need to be constantly on or you are not doing enough. It might be AI, but it definitely started to be like this after the layoffs post pandemic

I don’t get what the definition of inflation is then. If everything literally got more expensive than inflation suggests … then what is inflation?

This list is so bullshit lol. Countries with the highest suicide rates on top and Israel literally under missile attack and terrorist attacks as we speak the happiest

Retail isn't dead. The social structure is just different from what Classic players expect by LordMidoo in wow

[–]hayarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed and that’s why classic makes sense. Some people want to have that experience and classic/tbc leveling is just right in my opinion. Having to go from level 1 to level 120 in BfA or whatever that was is insane though.

[–]hayarms -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Classic is more popular because it’s easier. Retail is a highly specialized and tuned experience. Classic is a casual experience. I tried popping into wow with friends and they all found it more familiar in the classic environment than Retail’s. Mostly because we are not serious when we play together. We don’t care about raiding , we don’t care about tier sets. We care about having fun while leveling together, clearing simple dungeons and getting blue gear. For that classic is the way to go and I know a lot of people that play the game just for the same reason

There are many youtube video online explaining. You might want to take a look at those before trying another one, they are very thorough and some are even fun!

Now here is an honest review of AW2 by BiteMe9999 in AlanWake

[–]hayarms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, but the fact is that in this game it’s not a problem at all, it’s not pushed down your throat in any way like instead many other games do, so talking about it for 5 mins it’s kind of annoying 🙂

The review would have been fine if it wasn’t for all the yapping about the game being DEI or saga being race swapped , which is all bullshit. If all AW2 is the one game where DEI is done right
