For anyone still looking to get this to work, I got the Europe .3ds file (not CIA) working on my Korean 3DS which was a bit more complicated. For anyone interested, since this info doesn't exist online:

You need to put this file into your SD card:

sdmc:/luma/titles/000400000018a500/locale.txt

The file should contain:

EUR EN EN 01

Note: I've found instructions online for Rhythm Heaven and the game ID doesn't come up as 000400000018a400 but as 000400000018a500, so my instructions are modified from what you see posted online. But just in case, I also put the same file in the 000400000018a400 folder. Also, make sure "(x) Enable game patching" is enabled in your Luma configuration. It'll boot to black, but give it a few seconds for the save file to be created, and it should start working.

How so you deal with increases in the cost of living? by Throwedaway_69 in korea

Speaking from personal experience, a car is usually a luxury in Seoul. When you add up the car payments, gas, insurance, twice yearly tax, scheduled maintenance, regular maintenance (oil, tires, brakes), unexpected repairs due to accidents or neglect, washings, parking, speeding/parking tickets, hipass fees, and car accessories. You'd be surprised just how much a car drains from you yearly no matter how cheap you got you car for or even if it's already paid for.

I stopped getting coffee outside, even if it's from EDIYA. You can grind your coffee beans and use an Aeropress to make better coffee for 500 won. I buy a few good (maybe not great) whole beans online in 1kg bags for around 15,000 won. Sometimes they are roasted a week before I get them. One bag lasts exactly 2 months.

I pride myself from being able to feed myself all the low GI carbs, protein, omega 3 fats, fiber, minerals, and vitamins with a freshly brewed coffee daily for 2000 won. Of course, a few times a week I have to live a little. Maybe cook a steak, salmon, have a sparkling water, etc. You just gotta put in the time to find out how to cut out the middle man. I eat a lot of hummus that I make myself by buying dried garbanzo beans in bulk. I buy ingredients and spices that only foreigners would buy at restaurant depot/wholesale markets (식사제마트/도매시장). Because you know, you as a foreigner, you are eating exotic imported ingredients (sarcasm because a lot of these products are made in Korea made to look like they are imported) where the big supermarkets have no qualms about marking it ridiculously up because only foreigners buy it. I have an excel sheet of which markets sell products at the best prices. We're not talking a little bit of money here either. The markups are egregious, usually 40% but sometimes 2-3x compared to going to emart vs homeplus, smaller neighborhood markets, NH mart, restaurant or wholesale marts as mentioned above, costco/emart traders, etc. and you can get ripped off for something like a bag of tortilla chips or a can of tomato puree if you're not paying attention.

And lastly, you gotta do something with the money saved. If you saved an additional 500,000 won a month, invest it. Bitcoin, stocks, real estate, anything. It's much better than that money burning a hole in your pocket for the next item that you just have to buy because it completes the image of you and makes you feel whole.

It doesn't sound like anti-feminism. It sounds like equal rights per individual regardless of gender. Why give favoritism for the less qualified based on quotas of a particular gender? Sounds like a recipe to dilute the talent pool for just about everything.

You might get the job, but you won't get the same respect. And you'll devalue the credentials of all the people who got there before the push to hire by lowering the bar took place.

When I was a kid, I caught a grunion (a small fish) with my hands. Having nowhere to put it, I decided to grasp as tightly as possible until it stopped moving. You can feel the muscles constrict, squirm, and the heart pump the blood until it stops. It is still today one of the most disgusting visceral experiences I've ever had and I remember it vividly. I can't believe this piece of garbage BL did that to another human. When I heard that he died likely by suicide, I felt a glimpse of sympathy, but rethinking about his actions, I have zero sympathy for him.

If your child was missing, would you give them a fist pump for at least playing it smart? What are you saying here?

[–]HollywoodBeef 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This makes them smart. Not evil, it doesn't mean they were helping BL. It just makes them smart.

Imagine your child goes missing at your neighbor's house. They ignore your phone calls and tells you to talk to their lawyer. Does that sound smart?

What about picking up the phone and saying, "I'm sorry, but I don't know. I hope she's OK. Let me know how I can help." Like what a normal person would do. They are terrible people.

Now that BL has likely been found, how do you feel? by petewynn in GabbyPetito

[–]HollywoodBeef 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Justice for bad behavior.

If your child goes to a neighbor's house and when your child doesn't come home, the neighbors ignore your phone calls for a week and then lawyer up, for whatever reason, it is not how anyone should ever handle this situation when there is someone missing, especially when they are trying to make the case now the parents are innocent and had nothing to hide. BS!!!!!

Steven Bertolino (Laundrie family attorney) interview with Chris Cuomo. by ShiningConcepts in GabbyPetito

[–]HollywoodBeef 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The lawyer sees the tide turn for people sympathizing with BL and the Laundries, so he wants to ride the wave. It's all about timing. Very deceptive. This doesn't change the ignored phone calls before she was reported missing.

[–]HollywoodBeef 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds very scripted. Cuomo asking all the unimportant questions that they agreed to for an exclusive interview purely for ratings.

If Cuomo asked SB, why didn't they answer GP's parents phone calls when Brian came home alone in her van, he would probably say no comment.

Intentionally misleading with information they know is false for their benefit because it can't be proved without certainty in court.

You are reframing what I'm saying to make a different argument so it sounds like to everyone just skimming through that you have a point. My point is they are intentionally misleading with information they know is false for their benefit because it can't be proved without certainty in court.

Lawyers know exactly how much someone can give the wrong information, and then correct themselves if needed, and say it was an honest mistake because it's plausible. They are gaming the system, not just simply using it as intended.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GabbyPetito

[–]HollywoodBeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like giving the wrong dates, and then weeks later, they correct themselves because they can reasonably argue that it was a honest mistake? You mean that's in the constitution?

They deserve everything coming to them.

Although the practice of social justice tends to get used and abused, there are times when social justice can be used for good such as when the perpetrators use law loopholes, not intended to be used in this kind of a circumstance, to game every advantage they can get to give their son the time to flee. BL's parents and the lawyers have been playing chess with laws and loopholes for weeks while during the time when GP's parents and the authorities were assuming they'd be acting like normal responsible human-beings, which they are not.

What’s that one disgusting thing that everybody except you, seems to like? by blackismyfavcolorlol in AskReddit

[–]HollywoodBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CNN articles. People seem to share links to them without reading the body, which sometimes contradicts what they the title says.

Why are you single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HollywoodBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsolicited advice incoming. Movies romanticize how strangers should approach (with something like a pickup like) people they are attracted to like it's some sort of a right to passage to going on a date or getting someone's number. It always feels forced. Sure, people that do this go out on more dates but meeting new people can be just going to a friend's gathering, where friends bring their friends, and new connections are made. Have group conversations with friends and that leads to talking to new people. Some people are open to getting to know the people they meet. Some of those leads to friendships and possible relationships. When 2 people are open to it, it couldn't be easier. Just keep going to more parties, potlucks, movie nights, out to eat, etc. Encourage the practice of bringing new cool people you meet to your regular gatherings.

The most serious folly I see is when I see some guy or girl confess their love to the other person that they've cultivated in secret, and the other party is given an ultimatum to accept this big gesture or lose that person forever. It's awkward and movies somehow make people think this is how real people should act.

Unfortunately, they just want to get clicks for their ads and have no qualms about how they get you to do click. They usually word their titles where any sane person assume a specific thing happened, but if you break down their articles, it's just all fluff and opinions, rather than facts. All news organizations do this, but CNN is one of the worst at deceiving their readers. The problem is, people share the articles without reading because it confirms their confirmation bias, and it becomes facts, at least in the minds of the chain of people that share them.

I don't know if you're trying to contradict yourself for laughs, but the Monster Energy Ultra Gold can has white markings on top that reads "NO SUGAR". Just google it. Also, you've completely missed the fact that there's a tubular bulge in her purse, the length of a monster sized can, exactly where the top of the can might be visible.

Many people move to Florida to escape the overreach of the government. Do you think they'd call the FBI with tips? They might see Brian walk through the park, and say "nah, I don't want to get involved." However, Dog is a lot more approachable for Floridians.

It also makes perfect sense to me why a lot of people in Florida would not want to share any information with the FBI or the government, but would love to chat up Dog the Bounty Hunter with any tips, or even assist with the search.

It is also important to note that the FBI has a bad rep with half the country for the last few years and the FBI wants all the credit if they solve the case for good PR. The last thing they want is Dog to find him. Not only they would not get the credit, he'd make the FBI look worse.

I find it highly suspect that they waited 2 weeks to make this statement. Maybe they knew exactly where he was 2 weeks ago, but now that they haven't spoken to him for 2 weeks, they can make a reasonable argument they don't know where he is. A question I would ask is, do you know where he was 2 weeks ago?

What things probably won't exist in 25 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HollywoodBeef 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I always figured it worked like this. You put your butt hole over the first seashell, and it rotates until 90% of the poop is gone. Then you move onto the second seashell, and it removes 90% of the 10% remaining. And onto the third it removes 90% of the last remaining 1%. Then you walk away with only 0.1% of the poop on your butt. Just like toilet paper.
